So if they are to the point of figuring out who the interim will be, is it safe to say it’s certain he will be gone way before the season is over and we don’t have to wonder if he’ll get to try and ride out the season? I’d most definitely rather find out he’s leaving than getting an announcement of some sort saying he’s retiring after the conclusion of the season.

I saw someone say on the Inside The Hall website board comments “there’s a student boycott coming for the Maryland home game…just FYI”.

I saw somewhere that the students plan to boycott the next home game against Maryland, so I guess we’ll see if that ends up happening or not.

If conversations have been made about how to get rid of him immediately, I really do hope we hear something for certain before the Ohio State game. With how bad last night was, I don’t like the thought of nothing being said for too long. Doesn’t make sense to let things get even worse. Fans have had it.

So is this the “running it back” thing Leal spoke of? I should chill and be glad we’re not down 50.

I’m not completely ready to give up on the Brad Stevens possibility until we actually see that he’s not the coach. I just think he’s in a different situation family wise as well as business wise with Boston to make me believe there could still be a chance. Obviously if it doesn’t happen, I wouldn’t be surprised. Otherwise, if it means Dusty is next on the list and he’s just waiting in the wings to make the move to IU (knowing his Michigan contract buyout situation), then I’ll be just as excited either way. Like guys in the know have said, I think Dolsons list is 1. Stevens 2. May….and if Dolson gets his way he shouldn’t have to worry about going past that.

Yep, I can for sure see this as being a possible scenario. I agree that Woody seems more lackadaisical than before, and it’s aside from just the losses. I’m curious to know that if this is indeed the way things are working out, it’ll mean no matter how bad we fall of the tracks the rest of the way, we can expect to see Woodson finish out the season. Is there actually the possibility of him being done before the season ends if the losses get bad enough? I know some have mentioned he could be gone after an Illinois loss, but if there’s been some sort of exit strategy in place where he gets some money to “retire” at the end of the year, then I don’t see it happening…..but if he could indeed be done after an Illinois loss, then let’s lose by 30 just to make sure, haha.

As someone who definitely wants him gone, the optimist in me says that maybe he was given the $6 million because he knows it’s his last year, so it was everyone’s way of saying “here you go Mike, try and get yourself the best roster money can buy that you can try and use to go out with a bang your last season as coach. If you succeed with it, great, go out in style…and if not, oh well at least we tried to set you up for success, and you’re still gone.”

Saw on the other site that there’s been some new rumor/talk that Dusty May is Dolson’s #1 guy and that’s it’s not even close.

Im sorry, but I just about got to a point there towards the end of that game where I hoped Winthrop would pull it off…just to make Woodson have to soak up the embarrassment. I’m past ready to hear boos on the tv. So much talent and so little clue on how to make it all work to its potential. Woodson’s getting paid though, so that’s all that matters. Sickening.

Obviously fantastic news. Would be so much easier to root for a good season if we knew for a fact the guy was gone at the end of the season.

Yeah, I saw him post it on the other site, ha. I figured he’d know but was curious to see if there were others hearing it as well, whatever it may be.

I saw that Trilly has started to hear some things about IUs coaching situation. Know anything about that? I don’t ever see the Trilly stuff.

I remember literally using some of my vacation days at work to schedule around certain IU basketball games I didn’t want to miss. Now I could have absolutely nothing going on and if a game is on I’m fine with watching something else. I just can’t stand it at all. Couldn’t wait til the season started every year, but now I can’t wait til it ends so I can see if a change is made. This is even way worse than when people wanted Archie out of town.

At this point I could see Woody so damn pathetic enough to talk a player into being “injured” and keep him out of games just to be able to use that as an excuse for not winning… …..sounds ridiculous, but I’ve reached the point of not putting it past this man to do such a thing just to make himself look better.

I just wish this could be a matter of we know for a fact that Woodson will 100% be gotten rid of at the end of this season. Just makes rooting for the team a lot easier. I want the players to succeed, but I don’t want it to result in any chance he gets enough support to stay aboard. It’d be so great if something could come out mid season that he plans on “retiring” after this year so let’s root the team on and send him off on a good note. Otherwise, it’s hard for me to want to see success, because I don’t want him here anymore. Bad thing is, I don’t think he’s willing to part ways on his own so he’d probably have to be fired, which most likely isn’t going to happen until after the season….leaving us wondering if the results of the season will determine his fate. This time really does feel different though in terms of him actually being gone. There just seems to be way more out there now about the negativity he’s involved with and a ton more people finally realizing what’s going on and wanting him out. Plus the success of Cignetti ought to give Dolson the ammo he needs to make his move.

Yeah they’re talking about other stuff, some football stuff. I just mentioned that time frame since it had to do with Woodson and bball and when Brian Evans came on in case people just wanted to get to that part.

That HH podcast with Brian Evans was indeed a good listen. They are completely done with Woodson. In the words of the great Tom Crean, “you wrecked our program!” * Also just a heads up, anyone able to listen to the podcast, it starts with Brian Evans and talking about the program at the 30:45 mark. They go on and on for a while after that about different things that have happened behind the scenes and what is all going on that just goes to show Woody being the head of the basketball program is a freakin’ joke.

Woodson probably doesn’t like Cignetti and the success he’s having. Making him look even worse and stand out like a sore thumb. It probably makes him mad, ha. It’d be so much easier to root for success this season if we knew 100% that Woodson was gonna be done regardless of the results. If there was some type of statement made saying he’s gonna hang it up and retire or whatever at seasons end, then people could rally around them and throw away the pitch forks. Probably won’t happen unless things get really out of hand. Just a tough edge to walk on not knowing if any amount of success will keep him around any longer than this season.

Not wanting us to lose but yet wanting to see this man fail is such a tough spot to be in as a fan. I’ll still never miss watching a game when I’m able to watch, but so odd to not really care what the results are if it means a change can be made. I’ve been so obsessed with IU basketball the past 25 years, but the last couple/few just haven’t been as fun as I’d like them to be. I can see Dolson moving on after this season, but I doubt it’ll be during the season unfortunately. Hope I’m 1000%wrong on that one. Let Calbert and crew take over. I think it’d be easier to root for this season to be a success if there was type of announcement that Woodson was gonna be gone after the season.
