This team needs Zach’s bulldog fight/effort bad.

I realize we are down a handful of players, but the players we still DO have playing should have no excuse to play like that. I know we are up by 17, but we didn’t look very intimidating. Also, I’d like to see Romeo have the last shot for once and see what happens.

Arkansas coach stated how many deflections they had in the game in his presser. Crean is gonna love the SEC...all kidding aside, I wish Romeo would have taken more chances to take over the game. I can’t stand it when we lose but I’m glad to get it over with now and learn why we did.

Smith plays way too quiet for how explosive he can be. Sometimes it looks like he plays in slow motion which makes it look like the hustle isn’t there. Frustrating because he can be soooo good.

As valuable as Davis can be with some things, I still think he can be way too clumsy and sloppy with the ball.

You would think his decision would be very soon at this point. Even if he planned on going to IU and wanted to wait to make his announcement, he’d still possibly take thr trip to MSU beforehand.

Right, I agree how the coach presented himself and the way he answered the questions was nicely done and respectful. Like you said, he appreciates the opportunity and spoke highly of our school/players. Just some of the stuff the players were saying weren’t in that same context...like I said though, it was probably the bias “how dare you not talk us up and act like we’re just another home game, we’re IU!” fan in me. Plus when he said he had never heard of Romeo Langford before today...me thinking that was ridiculous was probably me being bias.

Yes! I saw that interview on YouTube. Dude on the left with what he was saying and how he was saying it makes me want to beat them by 40..but that could just be the biased IU fan in me. I can see wanting to show your confidence and all, but still..

Yeah I think you may be right. I remember him being at the line when they were chanting so it was prob directed towards him.

I know the crowd was chanting overrated earlier. I actually don’t think Marquette is overrated at all....IU is seriously just better and should be ranked as such.

I find that half especially impressive knowing we’ve got 4 really good players in sweatpants tonight.

Well it’s just down right obvious what’s going on here...now that Crean isn’t in town dominating the state of Indiana anymore, Fran thinks he can come in and grab anyone he wants

Ahhh, the feeling of thinking it's not good enough to get 3 star recruits and knowing now that we expect way better. This feeling is so much more exciting than the feeling of "ok good, at least he's a 3 star". This season and beyond can't get here soon enough. I've already scheduled handfuls of my vacation days off work to make sure i'm home to watch games that fell on work nights, haha

Something else that excites me for next year and the incoming class, is the fact that it shouldn't take nearly as long for the incoming freshman to pick up on Archie's defense because they are his players who he recruited to fit his style of play. Everyone returning is gonna be able to pick up right where they left off, and the incoming freshman aren't going to have to unlearn years of doing things a completely different way. This team is going to gel really well and be better sooner in the season than last year. We really should have every piece of the puzzle starting next year going forward to be a team that will be tough to beat.

Saw a pretty good comment on my Facebook newsfeed from a Purdue fan. “Congrats IU, your almost as good as Purdue now.” (And yes, he said “your”, that’s wasn’t me, lol)...but yeah, I don’t know why I can’t just laugh that stuff off knowing they’re full of it. We’ll be almost as good as them now, hmmm....Most Purdue fans just really get under my skin.

I loved how during this whole process, Romeo was able to keep a stone cold poker face over the whole thing, and then after he put the IU hat on, he couldn’t keep the smile off his face.

I bet Bryce Drew paid him to tweet that...
