    I’m on the Woody wagon even though I don’t have much confidence in the hire. But this could end up being a good thing since I thought Sampson was a slam dunk, Crean was a home run, and Archie was a grand slam.

    I’m with you. I’ll never give up on my Hoosiers and cross my fingers Thad and Woody can turn this ship around. I’ll also be here to gripe and moan along the way, especially if we end up right where we are in a dumpster fire.

    With Lon Kruger retiring there's a video on ESPN of Dana Altman wishing his mentor well. Maybe he'll go to OU so one less candidate in our pool.

    He’s proven he can adapt and change to become a strong coach, unlike what we’ve experienced with Crean and Archie. True he might be the flavor of the week with another strong run in the tournament but I’d prefer him over many of the IU guys with no college head coaching experience.

    I'd like to join you in that refusal, however stranger things have happened in all the previous coaching hires after Davis. I'd be shocked but not fully surprised.

    Probably the fact the west coast games are so late for us Eastern time zoners but I really have no feelings toward any coach out there, other than well, Mark Few, but that's probably not happening.

    Let's just rehire Sampson since impermissible phone calls is pretty low on the scale of recruiting violations we've seen over the last several year. I'm completely kidding with this but was watching the game yesterday and one of the announcers made a comment that made me cringe about "where would IU be now if they hadn't forced him to resign." Blah blah blah

    I just feel like Beard isn't a major upgrade over Archie. I get that he's had some success and they made a surprise run to the title game in '19 but just average play in the Big 12 equals below average (i.e. Archie's record) in the Big 10.

    You've stolen the words right out of my mouth. I love it. And so true. Did most of us see Kelvin Sampson or Tom Crean as the obvious choices, I sure didn't. And with all the Billy D and Brad Stevens talk even 4 years ago, we will be disappointed again. I mean, we're a football school now right?!
