I've never understood the "but he is a mid major coach" argument. Bob Knight was a mid major coach. As was Coach K and a few others. I shared an article a few days back which showed how many elite coaches came from mid majors or were assistance coaches. This doesn't mean we should go after just any mid major coach or not try to get one of these elite coaches. We shouldn't go after mid major coaches like Groce or others who suddenly got hot in the NCAA Tournament for 1 yr. If we go after one , it should be ones like Marshall who has had long term success.
