So if Dolson has to get a proven winner like Pearl, does that mean Pearl said no ? -

I think context is always important. People turned on Woodson quickly because he was someone no one asked for or thought was qualified to begin with. People gave him a chance but we have seen the same problems each year get worse. Now he has no recruiting class. I agree part of the problem is fans are so restless from the years of just making stupid hire after stupid hire. It was never the fans fault these coaches didn't work out -

I really hate we have to go through another year of this for us to just turn around and fire him. And we lose out our opportunity to get the 25 recruits because they will have likely committed somewhere else. It also hurts our ability to get the best coaching options. If Dusty May takes a job somewhere else like Louisville or Ohio State, he's not going leave for IU after just a year. And who knows if Pearl is still an option. We always find a way to screw ourselves. -

Dakich is contrarian man. He was taking a dump on Woodson and complaining that we wouldn't fire him and even attacking Buckner. I remember when he used to hate on Crean all the time, but said we shouldn't have fired him. He has no convictions or beliefs other than how can I get attention -

IU has to have the top or one of the top NIL programs in the big ten yet now we don't have a single recruit. How is more money going to make much of a difference? Between this and if we have a massive amount of our players enter the portal there has to be more internal discussions now. Keep or get rid of, I don't see how the plan stays the same. Even the big money donors backing him have to reevaluate. This is insanity. -

Let's be honest. The whole city of Lexington would be burnt to the ground form the massive couch bonfire. -

Is it possible if with this news and if we have basically our whole team leave the administration does a 180? -

We have a very passionate fan base. Almost as bad as Kentucky. Now for 20 plus years we have been sold garbage and mediocrity by an insane administration that lives in a separate universe from their fans. They don't care about basketball or winning in a basketball loving state. So yeah we have become toxic and they share a lot of blame in that. Just think if UK had an administration like ours? Their fans would raided their offices with pitch forks and torches ! It's not fair to put it all on us. -

We aren't getting anyone in the portal. Woody has had some success in the portal the past couple seasons but it's going to come to an end after this season. These players will see what an outdated system we run. Plus half our team is going to leave. Why do this ? It's hard enough for someone new to come in and fix this. And they expect the guy who created this needs to fix it? These people are beyond stupid. It's all about feelings and friendships. Nothing sound or logical in their thinking. -

This is a program surrounded by idiots who just care about their feelings instead of winning. -

I thought Woodson had said they had interviewed for the job before Miller was hired. He just didn't feel like it was a serious interview. To be honest if I was Glass I would be annoyed to interview someone whom you have no interest in hiring because they have zero qualifications. Just that their an alum and coached unsuccessfully in the NBA. But it makes former players Happy. How about let's make serious big boy decisions and not worry about people's feelings. -

Even if he wasn't told to, he must know enough that it's likely he isn't back. And he's willing to take the calculated risk of making that happen by releasing that information. Guys like him need access. If Woodson was definitely coming back he would be shooting himself in the foot right now. -

That and I'm tired of the media saying we wanted a knight guy former player. The only people who wanted that were former players. Any fans that wanted that were the minority and that was just code for Alford. We want a proven winner. That's it. -

At this point maybe the scorched earth approach is the only way to get Quinn out of the way. -

100% this. But if he has only a year left on the board maybe someone decides it worth the risk. I'm sure Buckner would be petty. -

Saw on the other board that someone said Trilly mentioned that Quinn hired Archie last time and it wasn't Fred's pick. I'm curious who was Fred's pick other than Donovan. I'm also surprised we didn't get Woody then since he wanted the job back when we got Archie. Was Archie the compromise choice ? -

I don't think I can watch anymore. This is so stupid that the past 20 plus years we can't have any success because we have an idiotic dysfunctional administration. They go out of their way to make every stupid decision possible. It's either their holier than thou attitude or in this case Nepotism. This is want scares off coaches not our demanding fans. They see how stupid we are and how we operate. That's why don't see us a blue bloods. We can't get out of our own way -

Why does Quinn have that much power. He's only one BOT member. Let's assume Dolson wants a change and Whitten supports it as well as other boosters. Why would he over ride everyone else ? -

I think a lot of the information Rabby and Trilly are getting is from Dolson himself. If he has his guy lined up he probably wants it to leak to put pressure on those who oppose the change. That's what I would do. If people like Buckner hand cuffed me and forced me to hire an unqualified candidate, I'm going to turn the heat on them. They should get the egg on their face for this bad hire. And they should take the blame if we have to keep him for another year. -

At this point I feel like it's a more than 50 percent chance Woody is gone. Listened to the Assembly Call radio show and they all pretty done with Woodson. I think they also explained it all very well. It's not simply a binary choice of being for against Woodson. It's just looking at the reality of where are and where we want to be. And the changes we need to make are not likely to happen with Woodson. Then you hear north of 10 former players telling Dolson they want him gone. At this point who is in his corner. I think Dolson also wants him gone. If he can get another coach I think we see a change. -

He always talks about how he resigned from West Virginia because they were cheating. But I keep thinking to myself why in the world would West Virginia hire a guy with a garbage record like his. A guy who never went to the tournament. And what's even more maddening is Bowling Green took him back. He owes everything to being a former IU player and assistant. Because how else does a guy with his track record and people skills even get a coaching job -

Exactly. Even if people like Quinn would want him to get other year, right now it's so bad it would be too difficult for him to fix now even if he could. How to get guys to stay that given up. How to convince new players to come in ? Just by a paycheck? We are at a point of no return. Keeping him another year just continues the death spiral. The only change of a real rebuild is a new coach that knows what they are doing.
