Woodson is meeting with players individually today. Franklin has some options like Louisville and Virginia. Louisville is trying to hire Kenya Hunter too. The meetings today will be huge.

I would say it’s just been since yesterday since IU hadn’t been connected to anyone in the transfer portal before today. My guess is Hunter gave Woodson some ideas when they met last night and then someone from IU reached out.

What IU team did you watch this year? There was zero 4 out motion going on.

IU hired a guy in Woodson who wants to be at IU. He's replacing a guy in Archie Miller that never really wanted to take the IU job and he was considered by many to be a great hire. Let's relax, sit back, and see what happens.

Do you know x's and o's? Do you know how Woodson is going to relate to players? I'd guess no. Until those questions are answered you can't judge this hire with any credibility. IU has tried other paths with up and comers and hot names and it hasn't worked. Did they have other options in the past that could've been better sure but it was time they tried something different and they did.

Gut feeling is the coaching staff decides and in some cases they probably ask certain players opinions but that's just a guess based on what I know happens at most high schools.

Names I would look at in no order Kenny Payne Kenya Hunter (Hopefully Back) Mike Roberts (Should still be talked to by Woodson) Dane Fife Michael Lewis Drew Adams Andrew Dakich Calbert Cheaney Greg Lansing Possibly some small D1 school head coaches similar to Holtmann when he went from being the head coach at Gardner Webb to being an assistant at Butler.

He just went to Indiana State. Not sure if it's been officially announced but he left Xavier for ISU.

How does picking uniforms work. Does Adidas just come up with them or do they get the approval from the coaching staff and does the staff ask a few of the players for their opinion on them before finalizing? I've always been curious how this works at D1 schools.

That's not come out yet and might not for a few days. You shouldn't be worrying about that already anyway.

I think at least 2024 and it'll probably get extended but who knows right now.

I would assume that Doyel meant that Matta will help with coordinating who to recruit and how to go about doing it and then help seal the deal when they get to campus. Not that he's going to be out on the road doing it because that isn't allowed. IU has other people on coaching staffs at the university that do similar things.

He'll likely be on the bench. Comar was and that's the role Matta is now in.
