Saw someone post this on 247 and seemed like a logical possibility. Also because it referenced the Stephanie White situation that I mentioned in another post. "For the people that think that Billy wouldn't consider IU until the Thunder are eliminated all I can say is look at what Stephanie White did when she left the Indiana Fever to go to Vandy. Also I think the reason that his house in Florida could be in correlation with him coming to IU potentially and here is why. It is plausible that the reason he kept that home was because he wanted to stay there rather than OKC during the NBA offseason. However if he goes back to college to coach there isn't much of an offseason like the NBA because of the offseason workouts and all of the recruiting that goes on in the summer. So if it is that he is coming to IU the Florida home goes up for sale now and OKC home goes up for sale when he leaves OKC."

Dakich said on his show that Gottfried wanted out if he didn't get fired due to some family things that at going on. So if true I doubt of it would be to awkward.

Dakich finally went off today on his show about IU's brand of basketball. He said he is tired of the turnovers. He said he thinks Crean should get one more year. But things need to change. He said Bryant shouldn't be dribbling the ball 30 feet from the bucket and the guards are all ridiculous starting with JBJ. Not saying he is right about Crean getting one more year but at least he is starting to get a realistic outlook that things need to change.

The question is did Alford have any interest in IU?

I tend to agree but let's see who they hire if Crean is removed. I have a gut feeling Glass will try to make a splash with this hire because his job will probably be attached to it. Especially sense Men's basketball is were the majority of the revenue comes from.

I agree it's probably just a rumor and nothing more but if there is any truth than it's an extremely interesting situation.

This alone should be a reason to ditch Crean and move on to someone else.

According to New Albany's AD Crean really hasn't shown much interest in Romeo and he described his recruitment as being wide open. He said that IU would have had a good shot but I think Crean has screwed this one up.

He is a moderator on 247 who has been right about IU stuff in that past and seems to have several insightful sources.

It's possible that they were on the list of people that were contacted. Mile's source may have just informed him of the guys that had shown some interest. I know Stevens was included and he said no but he is included at the top of every list.

Mile said that he thinks Fife was included because IU is looking at him as a potential coach on down the road and doesn't want to burn any bridges with him later. Not saying that's the reason but that was his thoughts anyway.

I just saw on 247 that mile posted some updated info: Reach outs to : Stevens. Still not giving up, despite his telling us no Donovan. Don't want to say where it stands for fear of upsetting the apple cart. Sean and Archie. Further down the list. Dane. Personally, don't understand this,unless it is a stop gap, unless IU fails with the one's above. No reach outs to : Alford, Mack, or Marshall. And one other I can't remember the name of. He said that things went well with Donovan when they reached out but his sources have gone quiet recently on that front. He said they could be trying to keep it quiet until the season is over and don't want any leaks.

I 100% agree but it really doesn't seem to be his style at all. I mean he is known for making offers that we don't even have room for. So it just seems to be kind of odd in my opinion.

Is it just me or has it gotten extremely quiet with recruiting the last week or so other than the C.J. Frederick offer. I don't know that Crean has ever been this quiet. I mean I haven't heard of any scouting or new offers. Could it be a sign that something is up? I don't know but I do find it interesting.

I just saw that Mile on 247 said yesterday that he thought personally that crean was staying. Then last night he said they had contacted Donovan and their was interest but he still wasn't certain that crean was gone. Now this morning he said that his source told him that Crean will be gone at the end of the season. He also said that his new information was just Crean based so their isn't anything new on Donovan. One can hope that is information this close together isn't a coincidence.

If I am wrong about this then I will be one happy Hoosier but Brad Stevens Ain't Walking Through That Door. So can we just stop talking about the guy and then maybe by the grace of God Glass and Brad will prove me and many others wrong.

I agree you don't hear about other programs talk about kids going to the NBA like Crean does unless they have a team full of 1 and done guys the way Crean does. I mean Crean said that McSwain was a pro. Crean worries about developing more than coaching and that is why you don't see the team chemistry that is needed to win in the Big 10 because they have as many guys worried about the draft as Kentucky and the players aren't nearly as talented in my opinion.
