It's not a free agent destination. If it was they would have given Durant and Westbrook some help that would have helped them win a championship. Didn't happen. This years free agent class isn't great either. They don't really have moveable assets to make trades. They won't be drafting in the lottery so the pick they get could help but it's probably not going to be a star.

I agree with that but that alone isn't going to keep Donovan. There has to be a supporting cast and they don't have it this year and will probably not be able to add another star player before Westbrook hits the open market. So why wouldn't Donovan get the best opportunity that comes his way when he knows the Thunder aren't going to be relevant for a few years.

I've said it before on here it is possible that IU could hire Billy Donovan and let him finish out the year with the Thunder. Look at what Vanderbilt did with Stephanie White while she was the coach of the Indiana Fever. It's not like it would be unprecedented in the NCAA. I appreciate your opinion but you're WRONG! Donovan is in the same sentence as K, Izzo, Pitino, Cal, Roy, Self and Boeheim. I would put him ahead of Stevens right now to because of the championships but their both pretty close to each other. Donovan is also younger than everyone I mentioned except Stevens. So he still has time to win plenty of games in the future.

Most players at IU, Illinois, NC State and other schools will wait to see who the new coach is going to be and how that coach plans to use them in their system. No to mention Glass said that the players wouldn't be bask from spring break until Sunday when he had scheduled to meet with them.
