The fact you say he wasn't good enough is false. He was its just no one paid attention to him because of the school he went to. He was 3x the player Gelon was but Crean wasn't afraid to offer him. The only people that would have freaked out would have been the people that don't know what talent looks like.

I'm sorry but this team has some of the worst basketball IQ I've seen from a team. Newkirk and Johnson are very inconsistent at shooting and they make horrible decisions with the ball that lead to TO's and I haven't even mentioned their defensive effort. Our bigs are all undersized other than Davis and Morgan and Davis is really slow and struggles to stay out of foul trouble. You can believe what you want but this team isn't very good.

This team doesn't have the right makeup to be good this year. McRoberts is a walk-on and out performing scholarship guys and that's a problem.

I Wil say if we could get him to reclassify I think that could only help with Romeo because he is more talented than some of the guys on scholarship currently and it would help with our front court next year which has question marks.

Yes high school season does effect the rankings so that is false. Now does AAU impact them the most yes but to say high school is a non factor is just wrong.

I think Brooks has potential and I would be happy to get him if we couldn't get 2 of TJD, Hurt, and Watford. I just think there are some concerns that people ignore because he is an in state 5 star.

I'm not downplaying the kid because his lack of interest in IU. I'm downplaying the kid because he is overrated and if you can look past the 5 star ranking it's easy to see imo. I've seen IU get overrated kids in the past and it hasn't worked well. Parea and Hollowell in recent memory.

He just strikes me as a kid that is rated 100% on potential. So there is a good chance that he might not reach his potential in after his 1 year of college. I also think he already is looking for someone to tell him what he wants to hear a he can get to the NBA. Watford, TJD, and Hurt are all much safer risks imo.

I wouldn't be to upset if we opted to get someone else over Brooks. I have watched Brooks play against top talent twice. Last year during the state championship against Ben Davis and this year against New Albany. I don't think his effort is great and the way he moves is very awkward. I think he has talent but he is not a sure fire instant impact 5 star recruit imo.

At this point in time I would say yes. There is always a possibility that could change.

Moore doesn't get a sniff because he wants to play like a 3 point shooting wing instead of a 6'10 post player that is willing to go get rebounds and finish at the rim. Forreter I completely different than Moore.

I'm starting to think this is a real possibility. I think there is a chance that he could could still end up at IU but it's very questionable with the way the team has been playing.

Some guys don't like to be held accountable by a coach. When that happens it can cause the player to start questioning themselves and this can result in things such as shooting percentage to be affected. Usually these are players that aren't winners which IU's seniors outside of Hartman are not.

He clearly likes making the trip to Bloomington. It seems like he's made about 25 trips already.
