I understand your position I personally think we will end up taking 2 guards, 1 wing, and 1 big. Sorry to all the Brooks will be a 2 guard people but he is a wing and always will be a wing so with that I think we could take Franklin and still be okay but that's for CAM and company to decide.

You're right according to rivals and 247 he is 3 star. ESPN has him as a 4 star yes I know they aren't as accurate so whatever. My point is he seems more pg to me than the other guards do. Newman no, Bouknight no, Ramsey no, Harris maybe. I say he's a pg because he isn't the scorer that some of the other recruits are and he is more of a facilitator. The only reason he is listed as a combo guard imo is because he is 6'4 or 6'5.

Guys he is a 4 star recruit from Indiana. Could we get better? Maybe but then again maybe not. I personally want kids from Indiana to want to play at Indiana. There are 3 main ways to get that accomplished. 1) 4 and 5 star players from Indiana go to Indiana, 2) Indiana wins games, and 3) coaching staff has good in state relationships. If he wants to come to Indiana let him and see what happens. He is big PG with length and you can't teach that. All of this is just my opinion though.

I agree with all of that. I know it's been mentioned but I don't think Smith is out of the question. I know some people are against assistant's but Michael Earley has done a great job coaching the hitting at ASU plus he has a lot of Indiana connections in recruiting circles. He's also turned down a couple head coaching positions the last year or two. I agree on Maloney 100%. The guy sucks at recruiting Indiana compared to IU and Purdue and it drives me insane.

I've got an idea for who I would consider targeting for a number of reasons and that is former IU player and current ASU assistant Michael Earley.

It doesn't hurt that Stewart is close with Thomas Bryant either.

Can't sign until next spring unless he reclassified and that would not be good for IU if he did because we are out of scholarships. So he will be a spring signing with someone next spring because he wants to drag out the process.

When game number one roles around I think this is what you will see. 1) Green 2) Langford 3) McRoberts 4) Morgan 5) Thompson Bench 1) Phinisee 2) Durham 3) Hunter 4) Smith 5) Fitzner I think he will start the year playing about 10 guys depending on match ups. By the time conference play roles around CAM will be playing the top 8 or 9 out of this group. I think Anderson, Moore, Davis, and Forrester could factor in at some point depending on how they play when their chance comes.

Okay let me rephrase. Fitzner is from a basketball skill stand point from passing, shooting 3's and 15 footers, handling the ball and scoring at the rim much better because he can do more things and score in a variety of different ways. That to me means more skilled. Davis has more post moves but can't do anything else and is an awful FT shooter so yes he is way more skilled imo. I hadn't forgotten that Davis was ranked #1 as a freshman but that was because he was big. Now he is an old school throwback post player that is limited. I like him but he isn't that great especially for the BIG 10 because his struggles on defense hurt us and he's not a shot blocker.

Pack line isn't the problem. I know this because I teach the pack line on a daily basis. The only difference between regular man and CAM system is where the help is and you force them to drive middle instead of baseline. This isn't the problem with Davis.

Yeah but that's not always the best for the team to win. Sometimes you need a role player in the starting lineup to facilitate and defend. Not not mention it wouldn't surprise me if McRoberts 3 point shooting is much better by next year.

Morgan is coming back. This 100% played an impact on both Romeo and Fitzner coming to IU.

I watched the game against Washington and I'm intrigued. The guy can play and is way more skilled than Davis so we'll see what happens.

Victor's breakout was great because it gives IU a legit recognizable face in the NBA.

According to Rabby he expected to decide in the next 48-72 hours. If he wants to come to IU they will take him so it sounds like he does in fact have an offer.

Unlikely to happen other than certain situations depending on matchups or certain offensive sets imo but who knows.
