(2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State
ap2345 replied to HoosierCoop's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
His best chance to have a D1 level player guarding him would come in sectional if Blackford would play New Castle and Luke Bumbalogh or their regular season matchup with Northwestern and Tayson Parker. Other games when he plays Blue River, Alexandria, Frankton, and Daleville he will have D2, D3, or NAIA level guards matching up with him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
(2021) PF Caleb Furst to Purdue
ap2345 replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
What I heard a couple weeks ago from someone connect to his school is that he is really only considering three of his current offers as legitimate options at this point in time. I don’t know for sure which three schools that is though but thought I would share. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
So much overreaction going on right now. Nobody will know how good this team is until McRoberts, Green, and Thompson are back and able to contribute for a stretch of several games with rotations that the coaching staff planned on using before all these injuries. Also not having the teams most consistent wing defender in McRoberts is the biggest problem on defense at the moment because that has affected the defense as a whole. From the comments that have been made by CAM and others my best guess is that it was a blood flow issue of some sort but everyone has been pretty quiet because of all the legalities when it comes to medical information. He is the best offensive player but he has to make an effort to get the ball. He also has to make an effort to play hard on both ends and not turn the ball over which is something he didn’t do and it cost them. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Romeo ran from the ball most of the game especially when the other guards struggled with the pressure of Arkansas he was running away from their pressure which can’t happen. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Nobody on IU played hard in this game at all including Romeo. If they would have they would have won the game. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

At the FT line in high school Romeo shot 82% as sophomore , 55% as a junior, and 81% as a senior. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

That might have been a bit strong but it does seem a bit hypocritical as a man who is a police officer to want your step son to be a potential part of that mess of an athletic program with the legal issues they have had. -

Conspiracy Theory: TJD is doing this so that when CG plays Lalu in December IU fans will come out in full force to show their love for him and Brooks. Not to mention I think he wants some of the attention Romeo got. Obviously he won’t get as much but he still wants people at his games. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I think the Pacers have a few issues. 1 is that this team doesn’t have another star to help out Vic late in games. 2 is that this team lacks a lengthy 3 and D guy that is a legitimate defender. 3 is that they don’t have or utilize their shooters properly other than Bogy. 4 is that Myles Turner is the worst rebounding big in the league. 5 Nate isn’t very smart with his rotations and allows players to do what they want to much like letting Myles and Thad chuck 3’s and letting Evans do whatever he wants. If they don’t get these things fixed this could be a very underwhelming season. I also think they need to find TJ Leaf some minutes to see if he can find the rhythm he had in the preseason because he is the only big the Pacers have that can shoot and he also out rebounded Turner in the preseason. Yes I know it was the preseason but it’s still worth a larger look IMO. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

That’s not coming just as an IU fan but as a high school coach that has heard some of the things that have gone on with Izzo and the program from from High School coaches and other college coaches in Michigan. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I’m sorry but his stepdad must be awfully stupid if he’s pushing for MSU. Yes Izzo is a Hall of Fame coach but he’s also a slime ball that has turned a blind eye to many situations within his program when it came to recruiting players and things that have gone on in the program during Izzo’s time there. Can anyone really blame a kid for wanting to watch the schools that he is considering play some games to make sure they are having success and how they utilize the players they could possibly be playing with next year. I can’t. I also think that TJD is number 3 on the MSU pecking order behind Carey and Stewart. IU will be fine regardless but they have to win this year and pick up some tourney wins as well to get consistent recruiting success. Not to mention Romeo needs to be a high lottery pick as well to help sell these types of recruits on getting guys to the NBA. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I agree it could be bad. But it also seemed like UK dug themselves a hole earlier by forcing bad shots and allowing Duke to get going and then the game was over after Duke got hit and stayed hot. Barrett, Williamson, and Reddish are a problem. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

(2019) PF Isaiah Stewart to Washington
ap2345 replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
So today it came out that Stewart is no longer considering IU and Villanova. Then today Villanova gets a commitment from 5 star center Jeremiah Robinson Earl. Maybe that’s a coincidence or maybe a TJD commitment is right around the corner like many people have thought for a while. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

So just posing this question as a possibility but if MSU lands Malik Hall and either Stewart or Carey do they still look as attractive to Brooks and TJD? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Rob is no doubt the PG of the future. I just think if Green misses time Al will get a chance to prove what he can do running with the starting lineup before they hand the keys to Rob. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
