IU Football 2019 Recruiting Class
ap2345 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Has anyone heard anything new on who this QB is that is supposed to be committing on Wednesday? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
ap2345 replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
He probably also knows though that TJD, Brooks, Hunter, Phinisee, himself and the rest of the supporting cast at IU would be able to compete for a final 4 if not a national championship which is something that won’t happen at those other schools. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I could see it if Romeo goes to the NBA and two of Davis, Green, Moore, Thompson, Anderson, or Forrester transfer which isn’t impossible but not necessarily likely either. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
I don’t care who it is IU needs a legitimate shooter or two. Whether that is Leal, Galloway, or someone else. What IU has lacked last year and this year is a Nick Zeisloft, Sean McDermott, or Ryan Cline although he’s inconsistent type of shooter. Someone to be a consistent 3 point threat. That’s what is desperately needed in the 2020 class for sure and honestly I think it’s needed in 2019 too even though I’m not sure if there will be a scholarship for that type of player. So what's the deal with the jerseys?
ap2345 replied to 7th & Bryan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Most guys prefer having their shorts shorter like that. That’s why high school kids are rolling their shorts up because theirs are to long for their liking. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

2021 General Recruiting Thread

Winchester played Union City who isn’t very good at all. The kid was averaging 16 and 11 per game though before tonight. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
He’s shorter and he’s a scorer and not a pg. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
ap2345 replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think the key for Romeo will be what part of the first round he’s projected to go in. He has started to slide down mock drafts so if he falls out of the top 10 I could see a scenario where he decides to come back. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Well Rabby has said the same but he also jumped the gun on Yogi and that didn't go over so well so I don't know if I would completely believe what has been said on Peegs but I also don't know about any of the TJD rumors at this point lol. -
Nope Newkirk was terrible and IU is definitely better off without him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

ap2345 replied to 7th & Bryan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
The look of the shorts is perfectly fine. I like them other schools wear similar ones. The jerseys don’t really match though and I don’t get that at all. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
(2019) WR David Bell to Purdue
ap2345 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
IU had no shot here without a QB that can actually throw the football more than 10 yards. Yes Penix might be the answer but who really knows at this point. A talented WR doesn’t want to take that kind of risk I’m sure when he’s trying to get to the NFL. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
(2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State
ap2345 replied to HoosierCoop's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
That's probably the closest comp but when I say Brown plays zero defense I do mean zero defense. Like James Blackmon gave better effort on Defense so I don't know if he can get past that but time will tell. -

He’s a very good FT shooter shooting about 96% from the line on the season I believe. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

(2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State
ap2345 replied to HoosierCoop's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
He can get his shot off with very little space and like I said he can score. He didn’t really take to many bad shots and he is a good passer. His percentage was pretty good as well but I’m not sure the exact number. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
You have your opinion I have mine. But we’ll be fine after IU wins their next 7 games which I think they will and heads into the Michigan game with a 12-2 record. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Here is the reason I said that. When he has come into games he hasn’t looked to do to much unlike last year when he looked to shoot it every time he touched the ball. Also multiple players have mentioned how hard he’s been working in practice and pushing the other guys but hey what do I know. You can agree with my take on more if you’d like but that doesn’t excuse the fact that it’s obvious other guys have gotten better but you can ignore that too if you’d like. I think Morgan has hit his ceiling as a player. Durham has gotten better. Davis is limited by his athleticism plus he’s missed a lot of time with injury. Moore has gotten better but he doesn’t get much time for whatever reason. McRoberts has gotten better with his jumper. Smith I don’t understand and Green is what he is and isn’t changing. Plus you have 5 new players with one of them likely out for the season in Hunter. Saying none of the players have gotten better is a ridiculous hot take with no substance to it. (2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State
ap2345 replied to HoosierCoop's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
After watching Luke Brown he is 6’1 however he is a small D1 school kid at best. The reason is because he won’t be able to guard D1 guards. He can shoot and pass but he isn’t a good enough athlete to guard high school kids let alone D1 guards. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
IU doesn't have anybody that is physical enough if Zion catches the ball on the block. The key is to try and keep him off the block and limit quick threes and TO's so he can't cherry pick the whole game which is how he gets most of his points. If Smith makes him dribble in the half court and settle for jump shots he should be just fine but Morgan can't be on him to start the game imo like was mentioned above but I'm not sure that Morgan won't get in foul trouble guarding Bolden either as he has been much better for Duke this year.

Since there are starting to be kids announcing they are transferring I figured we needed a thread for them. With this I saw Ball State QB Riley Neal is transferring. If I’m IU I would consider making a run at him to add an experienced voice to the QB room that has some talent. Yes Penix is the QB of the future but I don’t want to live and die with only a redshirt freshman with limited experience and Ramsey who has no arm strength at all.
