ap2345 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
If he loses the first game of sectional then about 45 if he makes it to state then I believe it's about 35 he has to average per game. -

If he continues to shoot the ball like that he will be getting minutes from day one. -

Damezi finished with 35 points in Riley's opening night win over Laporte. -
Part of his ranking being low is probably because he committed as a sophomore.

That college basketball insider info twitter account that said Romeo was getting close to committing to IU last week also said last week that Bok Bol was going to Oregon. Then Bol Bol announced his commitment to Oregon today. So maybe whoever it is that is running this twitter account really has heard some solid info on these 5 star recruits. -

It doesn't take much for Meyer to change his pick from IU either. -
(2019) PF Isaiah Stewart to Washington

He would have been if he stayed in 2019. I was unaware that CAM had stated he didn't want him as part of the IU program. -

That looks about right. If they don't start playing better in a game or two I would probably start playing walk-on guys instead. I mean they can't really do any worse. -

He would be the one exception of the group but that remainsto be seen. -

I wouldn't play Johnson if he was the last guard on the team at this point. He doesn't even try and act like he wants to play defense and some of his turnovers are just pathetic. -

Thee record won't matter as long as the freshman and sophomores continue to progress. The reality is when you have to play seniors that don't care to play defense and make horrible decisions it I hard to win. I'm sure Romeo knows that the record won't be the best but things can be much improved next year as long as all the newcomers buy in to what CAM wants. -

I'd expect him to be at as many New Albany games as he possibly can between now and when Romeo announces. -

Finally someone else on here that agrees with me on this. -

It would be easier for Vandy to kick someone to the curb than it would be for Kansas. Kansas will be loaded at the guard spots with Vick, Moore, maybe Newman could go pro, Garrett, Dotson, and Grimes. -

Also everybody needs to hope that Grimes signs with Kansas tomorrow so they will be oversigned by 1 and their only guaranteed player to leave early is Billy Preston which would put them at 12. That could then make it IU vs. Vandy for Romeo. -

He could by that would be dependant on how many points he scores this year, if he wins state, and what his career at IU looked like as far as scoring average and tournament success. -

Romeo has the chance to solidify himself as an Indiana basketball legend just below Damon Bailey in terms of high school and college careers. That won't happen if he leaves the state to play in college and I think Romeo knows this. -

IU isn't the only school that this person has tweeted about so I could be accurate which wouldn't surprise me if he is. I know a lot of people jumped off the cliff yesterday but Romeo can do so much more for his legacy by going to Indiana than he can going to Kansas or Vandy. -

Hurt is still a possibility as well.
