If that took place I would say that it came from whatever promises Archie made while he was recruiting Lander in order to get him to leave high school and enroll early. That's not good at all if it's true. Plus like DD says all the time families really need to get out of players ways and let the athletes deal with whatever the problem is.

He got a chance and has been terrible. Had he been showing some kind of improvement things would be different but he hasn’t and he doesn’t have a Cody Zeller and Yogi Ferrell walking through the door to save him either.
-
Wonder if he’ll be the only one or if there will be others the give that treatment to.
-
Well that was fun. Nothing like ending the season with going 9 minutes and 50 seconds without a made basket.

It came from Chris007 who posted on here that Mack had reached out to IU with interest in the job. Nobody knows why unless he wants a pay raise, wants out because he doesn’t want to deal with the NCAA sanctions, or he has other issues he doesn’t like about Louisville.

The most recent pro to college coach situation that would be when Stephanie White took the Vanderbilt women's job while finishing out the season coaching the fever. She hired Carolyn Peck as an assistant right away and she helped run things at Vanderbilt until the WNBA season ended. I would think that Brad could do something similar if he wanted.

Oh I know they aren't going in blind. They've probably got an idea of candidates that they know are interested. I'm just saying that they probably haven't gotten anything lined up yet with a single candidate. Unless it's the guy in Boston. He's the exception to everything.

It is false. the reason so many schools choose to hire search firms. It's not so that they can search for the coach. It's so they can negotiate legally. If IU hasn't hired a search firm which they likely won't until Archie has been dismissed or it's announced they are parting ways.
-
False. Very few cases does a school have someone lined up. They could be in talks but nothing will be finalized. Especially if their targets are still coaching in conference tournaments or the NCAA tournament. If they are hiring someone in the NBA or not coaching that makes things easier in the sense that those guys would be more likely to openly negotiate.

I'd guess he's still working on it unless their is something surprising going on behind the scenes.

I don’t think that smoke is coming from the Vatican. I think it’s coming from this dumpster fire that’s going on at 1001 E 17th St, Bloomington, IN 47408.

The difference between Archie and Mack is that Mack’s a better coach with a track record in the big east and acc. Not have similar styles but Mack has more success. All of these coaches share similar styles. Thad Matta, Brad Stevens, Sean Miller, Chris Mack, Archie Miller, Travis Steele and Lavall Jordan. Everyone of them coached under Matta except Mack and he coached under Sean Miller. They are all similar some are just better at getting results.

For the guys that think IU needs to pay a great amount of money for the next coach maybe they will. But there will be coaches with resumes who will be interested that won’t require a big contract to start with. I would encourage everyone to listen to the Hoosier hysterics podcast with Brian Evans. Brian talks about when Cal wanted the job and it shows just how incompetent the IU administration was when Sampson and Crean got hired and also how some coaches view certain jobs. I would also say you could skip ahead to the part about Cal because it was a long podcast.

(2022) PG Braden Smith to Purdue

Here are some highlights from the Westfield and Zionsville sectional game. -
UNC will be Wes Miller Duke will be picked by K and will likely be Nate James or Jon Scheyer I don't think those schools will be going with big names people think. As for the others who knows.
-
My biggest issue with Romeo was how he was used and that wasn't his fault. Standing in the corner all the time on offense and doing nothing. Franklin got used at times like that this year. That's a coaching decision that I don't understand.
-
Dolson and Archie being on the same page could mean any number of things. For example on Friday after IU loses to Rutgers it could be announced that IU and Archie are mutually parting ways. That would mean that they were in fact on the same page but yet the program is going in a different direction.
-
I’m fully confident Rutgers is pulling off a clean sweep on Thursday.
-
Hire Matta or Beilein as head coach. Keep Kenya Hunter as an assistant since I don’t think he’s been at IU long enough to make a real impact. Then bring Michael Lewis, Calbert, or Fife in as the head coach in waiting/associate head coach.

(2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State

We had like 8 wins but it was a new head coach with a messed up off season. We ended up losing in the sectional semi final game 58-54 in OT but we've got our top 6 coming back and our freshman class this last year was really deep and pretty talented. So we should be pretty good moving forward. Wapahani has the 2 guards each scoring about 16 and then the Henderson kid is their tallest kid at 6'5 but he's skinny and not overly dominating inside or anything. He can knock down open 3's though. If I had kids staying up until 3 the day before a regional it wouldn't be much fun playing for me lol -
That's the only real argument any media has had in defending him and I lump Bozich in with the media.
-
Let me guess what their reason was " IU won't want to pay the 10 million dollar buyout"! Was that close?
-
It is on the players too. I know this very well. I've seen videos of many players taking time and getting up shots. The problem is if a guy has a bad shot are they being corrected or continuing to work on bad habits. I see a lot of bad habits that haven't been fixed. That's what I was referring too. There is a lack of coaching or players listening going on. I'm also tired of people blaming Marshall for doing his job so that's why I said what I did.
-
None of the guys have gotten that big and they've gotten more athletic. Marshall does his job. The player development on the court has been a major problem but that's not on anyone besides the coaches. The running faster and jumping higher has been happening since Marshall got to IU.

Tim won't leave at this point until Tim wants to leave. He's been the Head Men's Basketball Trainer since 1981. So he'll stick around until he decides to retire.
