I coach basketball

This is what I’ve been saying for a while since he’s the associate head coach.

My mind is almost always on basketball. It’s kind of my job and I’m fascinated with coaching searches and how AD’s handle them.

I’ve long thought this would go until at least final 4 week and the peegs guys just basically said that’s what they think will happen. This is going to be an interesting ride.

CALM DOWN! Remember there were flight last Thursday from Bloomington to White Plains. There was a couple over the weekend, I think yesterday there was one and now today. It’s not connected.

DD said he wants it lol

There have been flights back and forth from there several times over the last several weeks. It’s nothing.

The talk of former players pushing Woodson is crap according to DD. He did say that Woodson has some apartment deals with the Cooks or something along those lines in Bloomington. It could be the Cook family that’s pushing the Woodson’s name around hoping to get IU to jump on board.

The most notable is Muss but I’m not sure how serious talks have gone. There’s been some talk of Woodson, Matta, Beilein, and some on Fife. I think there’s more but I can’t keep track. There’s been a lot of names but nothing seems to have really heated up yet.

IU hasn’t been in contact according to Rabby, Snow, and Peegs. They’re have been back channel chatter with others but not Beard for some reason.

Is IU going to hire Woodson on his birthday? Which happens to be tomorrow lol

Wikipedia has named Woodson the coach just like it did Stevens last week lol

Don’t forget that Alford had UCLA as a finalist for TJD but the random guy on rivals is full of s***

RUMOR OF THE DAY: a guy on rivals is saying there will be an announcement tomorrow and a press conference on Thursday. He’s saying it’s Alford!

That’ll be listed as preferred for just about any job these days. I’ve seen that listed as preferred on high school job postings but it doesn’t mean a whole lot.

If it’s not your money why would you care? I’d rather pay a large salary and have a lesser buyout if things went south.

I’m thinking that someone in the athletic department is leaking names. The question is are they real names under consideration. I would think Scott would be keeping a lid on his assistants or keep specific information withheld from them if they really are that chatty. I think Scott probably is smart enough to keep things that are real under wraps.
