That foul on Goode was cheap af. I don’t understand how they allow so much contact and then call that. -

Carlyle’s confidence is shot. He’s unplayable right now. -

Have you not noticed his excellent defense today? -

That may have been a pretty critical play. It seemed like we were building momentum. -

He’s never seen a shot he doesn’t like. -
Tennessee straight up throttled Arkansas today.

They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread
HoosierX replied to Banksyrules's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Most of this post is speculation. I’d be willing to bet that most teams have rules against going out the night before games and that most players realize it would be really hard to do it conspicuously in this day and age. I also think it would likely vary from team to team and that teams with a lot of player-led discipline would self-police that. I realize my post is also speculative. But I really doubt the Zeller, Oladipo, Hulls teams were going out the night before games. -
I haven’t watched them play but Kenpom has them at 68th. And while I understand why people are touting what he’s doing with division 2 transfers, that to me is a double edged sword. He will almost certainly have less continuity in his system at his next stop. Plus, if his offensive system really doesn’t emphasize 3 pointers then he is starting to sound like another Archie Miller to me.

Does anyone else think attendance is going to get really bad this year? After witnessing such an awesome football season, I think patience to watch a team that is completely phoning it in will not be super high. -

At this point, it’s not his market value. He would be lucky to get a job as an assistant after this year. Of course, he will probably just retire. -
Let’s just hope it goes better than the last time we were take to start the season. I am very confident that it will.

The vast majority of people on the board were in favor of the hire. And as USPS pointed out, the national media loved it. I was 100% on the Archie train, he was impressive and consistent at Dayton. The year after his elite 8 year, they didn’t have a guy over 6’6 and they made the tournament and won a few games. -
I’m in the exact same boat. I hope ND blows Georgia out and Finebaum chokes on his dinner.
-
The only reason it ended up being a 10 point game is because we put up points when the game was already out of reach. That was not a close game by any stretch of the imagination. Great season though.
-
Why would you root for Georgia? It would reinforce the SEC superiority narrative and make us look even worse than ND did.

IUBB @ Nebraska - Friday, 12.13.24 @ 8:00 ET on Fox TV

This isn’t a team. It’s just an assortment of players with an awful coach. -
I understand the price will be driven by the market. Whether stubhub charges 10% or 40%, the end price paid is likely to be the same. My issue is with the amount pocketed by stubhub, which is astronomical. A lot more money would otherwise be going into the hands of people selling the tickets.
-
They are like 40% of the ticket price, and I think it's completely absurd that they are able to charge so much. I honestly think it should be illegal as the service they are providing is a relatively simple one. And they are also charging the seller a fee at the same time.

There was one play where we turned it over and mgbako the only defender back and honestly he could not have been more casual with his defense. -

Watched the first half on a slight delay, won't watch the second. This team is undisciplined to the point that it's hard to watch. -

They were 129 on Kenpom heading into the game. I wouldn't consider anything inside of 150 a cupcake, just my opinion though. -

And I doubt there is a single other division 1 school that would even give him an interview if he were available right now. He's not a good coach for division 1 level, pure and simple. We are mediocre instead of just plain terrible because we have the talent to overcome his coaching a lot of the itme.
