And Rutgers started how many freshmen? 3?

Watching basketball is supposed to be fun. This is not fun. I’m done

Would you take Antoine Davis (Mikes son) if he wanted to tranfer to IU
HoosierX replied to Iufan71's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
You think his dad would love it if the 2nd leading scorer in the country transferred from the team he coaches? -
(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky

Sure he could be, and I certainly hope that is the case. -
(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky
HoosierX replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Sure but this feels different. This team seems broken. Last year we were less talented and were transitioning from one coaching style to another, which would understandably cause some hiccups. I'm not predicting anything, but I wouldn't blame Keion for looking elsewhere after watching this emotionless team get destroyed every game. -
I'll buy the fan argument but what possible reason would MSU have for getting up for playing IU more than other Big Ten teams? You think there is someone is the huddle before the game saying, "This is IU guys, we need to bring our A game." I sincerely doubt it at this point.

(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky

I can't tell if this is a joke or not. However, I certainly wouldn't blame Brooks for not wanting to commit to IU at this time. -
This is a post game thread, not the game thread. There were 500+ posts in the game thread.

We haven't had a guy average 20 ppg since Eric Gordon and yet he is going to do it easily? -
I love Archie, I was ready to hire him in 2015. But at this point I have to question whether he is instilling confidence in these kids
-
Do I need to be stoned to understand this?

AJ is my all-time favorite Hoosier and I enjoy following him on Instagram, however, I don't have a clue regarding his coaching acumen. We shouldn't be hiring guys solely because they went to IU. By that logic Alford would have been a no brainer.

Indiana vs Nebraska 1/14/19 6:30pm FS1
HoosierX replied to LIHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Look the Nebraska game was abysmal but it was the first Big Ten game we lost that we really should have won. We certainly won't be favored in 2 out of the next 3, so accomplishing that should somewhat offset the Nebraska loss. Plus it would very likely give us 2 more quad 1 wins. We can all agree the Nebraska game was bad and raises a lot of questions, but let's play a few more games before getting out the pitchforks. -

This loss has caused a lot of doom and gloom, which I somewhat get. I certainly was very disappointed with last night's effort. But there is a lot of basketball left to play. We are going to win 2 out of our next 3 games and then hopefully people will back off the ledge. -

Why would Stewart be pushing Brooks to a school he hasn't committed to? Not trying to question your source, but I'm skeptical. Also Washington has picked up a ton of crystal balls for Stewart lately with MSU now in third. And this article from two days ago casts a little more doubt on that statement: "While Brooks and Stewart do have a few common schools on their lists, such as Kentucky and Michigan State, they don't necessarily talk about going to the same college." https://247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Five-star-teammates-Isaiah-Stewart-and-Keion-Brooks-are-helping-each-other-as-they-come-down-the-stretch-and-make-their-college-decisions-127582681/ -
AJ Ratliff x 10 - I thought he was going to be a star. How many years did he even end up playing? I question a couple of yours: Tom Pritchard - I mean he was just a goofy, slow white dude. He was never going to be great, similar to the argument you made against other people being included. His put back hammer dunk was an all-time great too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BtOUw3Yzqc Armon Bassett - Why did you include him? Because he left? I felt like he was surprisingly good for us.

IUBB @ Michigan - 1/6/19 @ 4:30 ET
HoosierX replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Are you watching the same game as me? He is completely clueless on defense...he is terrible at hedging and getting back to his man. He also doesn't attempt to box out or fight for position to rebound the ball. They could have called an illegal screen 3 separate times on the play they called the one they did. -
Evan Eschmeyer at Northwestern was another one I believe. Or at least it seemed like he was around forever to my 10 year old self.

I'm not a medical professional, but it is really hard to fathom the hit that Rob took needing more than 2 weeks to clear protocol. I agree with you and think that maybe the Kevin Wilson debacle has led to more stringent guidelines when it comes to player safety.
-
I'm curious as to your reasoning. But worry not, he will not get an offer from a power 5 school anytime soon.
-
Someone seems to be notably absent from blame...hmmm.

I'm sure the article mentioned it but it was the first time since Walt Chamberlain that someone has had that many made field goals without a miss.

IUBB vs Central Arkansas - 12/19 @ 7:00
HoosierX replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I disagree. Going up against better players than what Central Arkansas has in practice every day should certainly be helping them. Game time is only part of the equation. -
I have to admit, I don't have a major issue with what Joe is saying. Unless I am misreading his posts, it doesn't appear to me as if he is arguing that Marquette should be ranked ahead of IU. What is he is arguing is that media members are voting based on perception, which naturally is going to be filled with human biases (OK I added that last part). To me he is not defending whether the voters are voting the right way, but rather why they are voting the way they are.
