No doubt Romeo is a stud who would help so much in so many different ways. I just don't want us to be all butt hurt if he goes elsewhere. If he does go elsewhere, that just means we hafta toughen up and go even harder at these kids. Can't feel defeated. It has to get u even more motivated to not lose the next one. Like we expect from our team, coaches gotta man up and find a way to win no matter what.

I thought I heard them say Virginia only has 1 McDonald's All American on the team. Proof imo that the right coach can make good things happen without multi 5* guys. I know a lot of us are tired of hearing "once Archie get HIS guys" but he is a good coach and I think it's a matter of time. Own the state Arch!!!

Virginia's defense is pretty damn fun to watch to be honest. They smother the crap out of u.

Just remember, if u crap ur pants, the bright side is u can throw those undies away and take a shower and start fresh with a new pair. Same with this team. As we crap ourselves this season, these kids will eventually be gone and we can get new kids and start fresh :)

If Achie and staff can lock down a good portion of the talent in Indiana, I feel that will be the 1st big step in bringing winning back at IU. So much talent in state that if we can get our kids to stay home, winning will happen. Romeo would go a long ways in other kids thinking, "if a kid of that caliber can stay home, maybe IU is a place to truly consider!" We need that trend setter.

Lord knows we sure miss having shooters.

I think a lot of the negative talk comes from frustration. I get that. I have said a few over the top things on here myself. We love IU. Like him or not we were spoiled having IMO the best bball coach ever lead us for a long time. I know as much as I want us to win, nothing can keep me from watching and being 100% IU. We just hafta buckle down and find a way to make IU more attractive. Winning would help obviously. But until then, gotta come up with something else. At least to get the 5*'s. Until then, get the in state kids and work like crazy to win with toughness. Kids will come.

And then u have the players post game interviews where they r asked what they need to do different and they give the same answers after every game. My advice would be quit talking about it and freaking DO it. How bad does it sound to KNOW ur faults as a team and then keep doing the same bs?! My goodness. Haha

Idk guys and gals. But if this team loses and looks like it's no big deal and they could care less, will they really care if they sit on the bench and just watch? If u can't get pissed about losing to everyone u play, I don't know much u r gonna get pissed about in general when it comes to bball :/

I agree. Talent doesn't always beat the desire to win no matter what. Case in point, tonight's game. We had more talent, but they gave a crap and wanted to win more so.....they did.

This is why I don't think I will be shocked if under Archie we don't land a TON of 5* kids. Most(NOT all) are there to show off their personal talents for the next level. I see Archie liking the 4 yr kids that are blue collar, tough, gritty, get it done by whatever means necessary type kids. Kids that mirror his personality. Kids that don't need to score 20+ a game but rather kids that are totally fine just getting the win in the end regardless of their stats. I think the team has to resemble the coach to be as successful as we all want us to be. Just my take.
