Mgbako Arrested, Paying Small Fine for Misdemeanor
bigrod replied to DoctorP's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It all depends on what the camera footage shows. If it's not the official story, they're known to malfunction :D -
I totally agree that Baker is not good, but if you read that rule, it was called incorrectly. It's dependent on who initiated contact, and the Browns player clearly ran into Baker. At the very least, you don't call that because it wasn't a clear violation. But instead, they called a penalty that had absolutely nothing to do with the fumble and recovery. I'm not sure how you can say that didn't effect the outcome. They went from getting a TO to close out the game to giving the Browns yardage and possession. Compound that with the next call that was totally ridiculous, and the fact that it came right at the end of the game, and the refs totally effected the outcome.

Two calls where the refs decided to put their mark on the game. The first had nothing to do with the play, and even then was questionable. The second was clearly an un catchable ball. That game was a microcosm of why I don’t make watching the NFL a priority any more. As it was, I only watched the second half. It was an exciting half until the refs decided to make sure the Browns won.

(2024) - PG Boogie Fland to Kentucky

Lots of doom and gloom here today. We just have to hope that Cupps gets some good experience this year and is ready to start next year. I think (hope) he is going to surprise a lot of people. We are still tending in the right direction, and any reasonable person knew it wasn't going to happen overnight. I always felt like the third year for a new coach is a good tell for the future. Let's hope we keep building and maybe finish better than expectations. If that happens, a couple of these players get drafted, and maybe someone makes a nice jump, I think we're in good shape for the Spring. -
I was worried about drafting Young because he wouldn't be able to handle NFL hits. Too bad, he looked really good before he got knocked out.
-
Could be - I'm just going off what I was told. I'm not even sure where to look that rule up.
-
I think once he plays, even if it's only one play, the rollover is done. If he really wants to leave, the best thing he could do is play and play well for the rest of the season. How many teams are going to want to give a big multi-year contract to a RB who has been injured most of the last two seasons? I think you're right though that his best bet is to stay with the Colts.
-
The way I look at it, the more he is doing, the less TA is doing. Win-win...
-
Yes. Personally, I'm fine with being the kind of team that is trying to just get into a bowl every year, averaging 5-6 wins. Some years we don't make it, but every once in a while, we're sniffing the top 20. I'm not asking for us to have an awesome football team, just not to suck so badly.
-
They were so worried he was going to go to a bigger and better job. Instead, the real people behind the success went elsewhere. I remember when people on here were saying that we are now a football school? Can you imagine if he had left and DeBoer took over?
-
Their offense was a little disappointing, but that may have been due to Minshew not having a great game. Pierce is seeming more and more like a wasted pick. But, they play the Rams next. Have to feel decent about our chances with the Rams coming off a Monday night game and traveling to Indy for a 1pm game. They almost lose two days there.

(C) Kel 'el Ware - COMMITTED TO INDIANA

Excessively ingratiating or insincerely earnest. Just trying to help! (Is that smarmy of me?) -
Square peg, meet round hole. Seems like a guy who is putting an awful lot of thought in how to fail.

I think it's a special font they use for Indiana fans. -
Which begs the obvious question... Why???

Time for that to change... -
Literally, there is no such thing as 10000%.

Yeah, I get it, but it also doesn't make sense that a university would open itself up to the ramifications (legal or otherwise) that come with a statement like that if they weren't damn sure.
-
Those two stuck out to me too. Also, Altman at 13?
-
I have to admit, when I first heard about this, I thought it was just some sensitive freshmen who couldn't take some ribbing from older players. But this is just weird and crazy behavior. Makes no sense to me what purpose this serves. Anyone who knew and allowed this to happen should be fired, in my opinion.

Just thinking if Duke starts out like they did last season, maybe he will have second thoughts. -
