I suppose you could say that, but it never really went back and forth from game to game like this year. Last year we fell off a cliff and never climbed out.

I've been watching IU since they only had 2 banners ('80-'81 season is the first I remember). I have to say, this has been the most unusual season that I can remember. I'm struggling to think of any other with the Jekyll Hyde personality, lack of senior leadership, blowout home losses, and just plain never really knowing what you were going to get from a team. Every time you thought they had turned a corner, the wheels seemed to fall off again.

I remember seeing a similar pic roughly a year ago!

Doyle?

If we had a young roster that needed post-season experience, I would definitely be hoping we got a bid. As it stands, I'd rather just get on to next season than see them get in and lay another egg. It's unusual for me to feel that way about IU, but I think we've seen enough of this story to know how it ends.

It's probably more of an indication that we have no true point guard currently on the roster. -
Nick Zeisloft - Iberostar Tenerife (Spanish Liga ACB)

He must have the ones that got recalled. -
Maybe I'm mistaken, but I seem to remember that CAM wanted to red-shirt Moore, but the only way he would agree to keep his commitment was if he didn't. I like McRoberts a lot. He's a great, dependable guy to bring in off the bench to rest other guys and maybe provide a spark. To me though, if he is still starting by the time the B1G season starts next year, we are really not that great. Either that or he has really improved offensively.

I agree that I thought we would be better, but I really had no idea our seniors were going to be as undependable as they were. We saw it some last year with these guys, but this year there was even less talent to make up for it. I'm disappointed, but I haven't seen much from CAM that leaves me discouraged.

Proposed Statement of Culpability From Indiana University
bigrod replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Since MSB has only played a few more minutes than I have, it could be argued that his improper benefits are not exclusive to basketball players. Therefore, not an NCAA violation. EDIT - Of course, the other side of that coin is that he only plays in blowout wins, so those may have to be vacated. -
I would never defend the NCAA, but UNC getting lawyers involved and instructing them to deny everything (even stuff they had admitted at one point), had an awful lot to do with that result. I don't exactly have first hand knowledge, but my understanding from some people who followed it pretty closely was that the NCAA wanted to nail them for academic fraud, but the lawyers tied their hands pretty well.

I've said that before: If Crean was cheating, he certainly wasn't very good at it.

There are few things that I can count on every day, but Bailey's Drew sarcasm is one of them. -

I thought the bench stuff was really stupid, but I guess we should be happy they didn't have signs that said, "move your feet" or "block out". -

Others have said overall record against the tied teams. PSU would be 3-1 compared to our 2-1. -

I get the points made in the article, but I still think he said all the things he was supposed to say while he was visiting their school. Either way, we all know he is a one year player. I'd love for him to be a Hoosier, but as for long-term plans, I don't see it as make or break for the program. Personally, I don't see how Vandy is a better situation than IU for that one year, but I'm not the one making the decision or listening to all the noise around it. -

So you're say we shouldn't expect this? "The atmosphere was pretty good. I had a lot of seats to pick from. Coach Drew showed told me he'd let me do whatever I wanted next year, so that's pretty cool. Vandy has some really good players coming in next year that are going to try to steal my thunder. The tour of campus facilities was great. Didn't take up much of my time at all." -

Seems entirely possible. Penn State has a pretty tough stretch for their last four games. We have to keep Maryland and NW from catching us though.
