Hard to disagree with this. It was really tough to watch much of the time last year. -
Recruiting.

I think we need to get the 3-4 stars in here and build the foundation, and then get to where we are a player or two away from getting to the next level. That will be much easier to sell a 5* on. I still don't think people realize how bad we were when CAM took over. He inherited a NIT team that lost it's 3 best players (two of which are NBA players), and was recruiting was definitely trending in the wrong direction. I'll admit, it's a little tough to look at Texas Tech or even O$U and not be a little jealous. Having said that, Archie's system is designed for long term success. We have to give some time for that to happen. -
(2019) SG Lester Quinones to Memphis

I'll be honest, I'd rather have what he is doing than the shotgun approach we've seen in the past. If the sense of urgency gets us a B1G followed by two years of crap, I'll take the foundation building approach. I hope that Glass has told him to build for long-term success. -

We only want to offer the upper level, and that includes alphabetically. (I don't know which one is the sarcasm font.) -

Why? Not disputing what you are saying, just don't understand your reasoning. -
Personally don't mind these at all. I'm not sure how black and white can be that awful. Personally think it would look good with crimson socks. If it helps us get recruits, I'm all for it.

...without even getting a degree from the prestigious Duke University. Yeah, this seems to be lost in this world of instant gratification. I get it - it used to be getting a free college education was enough, and then college ball became a huge business. The fact is though, the players wouldn't gain popularity and get exposure if the networks weren't making money off of it. The shoe companies wouldn't be giving millions to the players if they weren't making money off of it. Colleges and coaches wouldn't fight for players to be on their team if they weren't making money off of it. At the end of the day, consumers and taxpayers are footing the bill for the whole thing. The athletes can say they are being taken advantage of, but they are also benefiting... like almost everyone else. Many players wouldn't be considering leaving school early without the exposure they got from the tournament. The fact that we haven't come up with a better system for players that really have no interest in college is the problem. But then again, the NCAA has a dog in the fight. Do you think they really want to lose their piece of the pie? -

Does he have to give the money back? :) -
I've heard Rabjohns and several others make comments that it is known that Glass has to fight for everything the athletic department gets. That's why I'm not quite as hard on Glass as some others. I just recently heard someone (maybe Rabjohns, but I don't remember for sure) say that Glass has been able to take our facilities from the '80's to the 2000's, but we are still far from the best facilities in the B1G because administration doesn't value athletics in general, and don't have any real foresight into the effects of neglecting it.

^^Totally on-point^^ His job is to make sure others buy into the entertainment. ...and they talk about our crimson colored glasses. Ha!

It's an offense to anyone who is a logical thinker. All of these other programs are paying players to go to their school, but Duke reels in 3 of the top 5 players in the class just because they want to go to Duke and play for Coach K. -

I would say with the way things have gone, Will Wade will be just fine. Had Louisville not fired Pitino, my guess is he would still be there and it would be business as usual. Only schools that take matters into their own hands get punished. The NCAA knows where its bread is buttered and isn't going to do anything to stop that. -

If there was a polar opposite to Crean's coaching style, Archie's comes pretty close. As much as we hate it, this is a total culture change. I would rather have him take the time to build the foundation (something I felt Crean never did) and have sustained success. -

Hopefully that helps us. -
How many of the teams that beat us had the player names on the back of their jerseys? Pretty sure it didn't give us any advantage.

Same here. One of the things I like about these online services is that you can cut back at any time. I usually cut it back to the bare bones during the summer because I'm not watching much.

I'll just say in my experience of having Hulu for a year and recently switching to YouTube TV, the picture is much better on YouTube. I really don't know why, but Hulu was always going back and forth between a very grainy picture to a decent picture. For whatever reason, YouTube doesn't do that and the picture definition is way better than Hulu ever was. Just my experience, but I'll pay a little extra for YouTube. Also annoyed me that I paid extra for no commercials on Hulu, but almost everything I watched had commercials.
