September 8-10th. A Really Big Recruiting Weekend

I think it's a special font they use for Indiana fans. -
Which begs the obvious question... Why???

Time for that to change... -
Literally, there is no such thing as 10000%.
-
Yeah, I get it, but it also doesn't make sense that a university would open itself up to the ramifications (legal or otherwise) that come with a statement like that if they weren't damn sure.
-
Those two stuck out to me too. Also, Altman at 13?

I have to admit, when I first heard about this, I thought it was just some sensitive freshmen who couldn't take some ribbing from older players. But this is just weird and crazy behavior. Makes no sense to me what purpose this serves. Anyone who knew and allowed this to happen should be fired, in my opinion.

Just thinking if Duke starts out like they did last season, maybe he will have second thoughts. -

Has he said when he plans to commit? -
I know, right? Spaghetti is WAYYY more quiet.

I was referring to photo of the band on the field spelling out "Indiana". They weren't slanted forward.
-
It's not his fault. The band clearly didn't get the forward trajectory notice :D

I don't disagree, but if we have a scholarship available and a one-year player could help us, I guess I'm not sure of the downside. If one or two of those guys go down, it would be some nice insurance.

Gotta think we'd at least reach out. I wonder if he and Xavier still communicate?

Trayce Jackson-Davis - Golden State Warriors
bigrod replied to Schreckbagger's topic in Hoosiers in the Pros
From Sporting News: 16. Golden State Warriors Grade: B Picks: Brandin Podziemski (#19), Trayce Jackson-Davis (#57) The Warriors traded Jordan Poole earlier in the day and selected his insurance in a crafty playmaker and knockdown shooter like Podziemski. One of my favorite under-the-radar moves of the draft was Golden State trading into the second round when Jackson-Davis was sliding, scooping the All-American with the No. 57 pick. I'm calling it now, Jackson-Davis will be a contributor for Golden State. -
I totally agree, but I'm kind of glad we aren't ranked. Just win and everything takes care of itself.
-
Ha! I keep waiting to see how their management will screw this up.
-
Yeah, I would guess the definition of tampering is quite different for the team losing a player than the teams after him. Who knows who reached out to who to gauge interest. I’m guessing if you’re the team losing a player, you think any talk is inappropriate, even if it was the player gauging the interest level.

(2023) - SG Jakai Newton to INDIANA

Would love it if he was ready to contribute this season, even if it was 5 min/game. -
Just a guess on my part, but I feel like part of the reason Ware came to IU is that Woody told him he would allow him to play more out on the floor. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he takes 3-4 a game. They seem to have a pretty flexible front court in that they are big enough and skilled enough to move under the basket and out on the floor, with Reneau/Sparks probably staying under the basket a little more than Mgbako, Ware, and Banks.

From a defensive perspective, Galloway is a good starting option. While his percentage did improve last year, his average PPG is pretty low for a starting SG. Hopefully, he can work on his ability to confidently get his shot off in more situations to bring his points up. Having X and other strong wing options should help. Sure would be nice to bring in another guard option for a year, even if it's just a more proven bench option.
