Jankovic isn't nearly as strong downlow as Max has been this year, but his step back he hit over Robert Carter was a perfect example of his talent. He is more athletic than Max and can be a HUGE advantage at the 4 beside TB. Wow that would be a special combo. I have faith Crean will make this roster a contender once again regardless of what happens. People seem to think 3 Sweet Sixteens in 5 years and 2 B1G outright titles in 4 years is an easy accomplishment. I have been on Creans bad side w substitutions at times as well as in bounds plays, but he is such a great fit for this program. If he leads us further this year I'd say his extension was a great idea. He doesn't need another one though ;)

Jankovic would be my number one guy as of now, but I would also gladly go after Savon Goodman to replace Troy with if he decides to leave. Plenty more options will come out though. I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Dwayne Morgan either. We already recruited him quite a bit. If we return most of our guys, we could afford to take him and let him develop while sitting out a year.

Peegs, iuhoosiers, and even insidethehall all do. To get to the point of the reason why is because I'm from Wabash, but work in Marion and Blackmon's aunt works at Cafe Valley with me. I usually never say much to her, but today I asked her about James recovery. I don't know if they are even close or if she would actually know, but she said that he is going to ready for next year, but he won't be playing yet again because he is transferring. I laughed and she didn't think it was funny lol. I asked sarcastly why and she wouldn't say, but said the papers are signed and it will be announced the day after the season closes. Idk if it is true but she sounded positive. My question was why leave IU w the success we had this year and being the number one scoring option next year and to sit out a whole nother year? She insisted to tell me to wait and see and walked away.

Just saw on January 6th we offered him. It says he is a 2016 recruit and was once a Washington committ. When I go to his name on 247 it says he is on New Mexico State? Anyone know anymore info on him?

I thought the committee really sucked this year. Not just based off us being a 5 either. A lot of questionable seedings, but when you look close it sets up a lot of high ratings games and extra money which is what they look for most sadly.

I won money tonight!! After UK won and our loss to Michigan I called a buddy and told him I bet the committee sets IU vs UK in the second round. It seems to happen every year were both close in rankings. Its a ratings galore game and I know hard to believe(sarcasm) the NCAA try to make some extra money on matchups like these. I really thought we would be the 4 them 5 though. We deserved a 3-4 seed IMO no doubt. Michigan State deserved a 1 and Texas A&M a 3? C'mon!! Can't wait for Thursday!! Hope this team prepares for Chattanooga and not UK Thursday though.

We need a wing if Troy does leave. We have plenty of guards although a true point guard wouldn't be a bad idea either.

IndyHutch, you are 100% right! I was simply only posting by what she told me and I have no proof it was true, so I brought it here to either shoot it down or confirm. Honestly I still think it could happen. If JBJ was to transfer he wouldn't want to announce it by being called out on twitter, but the same reasons you stated are the same reasons why I didn't believe it to begin with. I'm sure there will be a lot of rumors on more than just him in the coming weeks, but the only thing we can do is take it w a grain of salt and wait for official word. Our fan base has a way of the world ending with things like this. We will all know soon enough and I truly believe he is staying, but like you stated w past experiences, anything can happen. Ready for selection Sunday to where we are going to play and who tonight!!

IMO we have more talent next year than this year so him leaving makes no sense. We will miss Yogi tremendously, but also with the growth of this team plus the class we have I see it being better. I don't believe in positions anymore so I would say our lineup WOULD be if everyone stays.... Johnson, JBJ, Troy, Hartman or OG, TB OG or Hartman 6th man Newkirk 7th man Davis and Juwan 8 or 9 man whoever crean trust more Cujo 10th man Green 11th man Priller, Gelon, Niego our bench mob lol I believe we will be just as deep if not deeper than this year. Our only question mark would be ball handling. With that said why would JBJ not want to be on that team and be the number 1 option? We will be preseason top 10 coming off hopefully a good run in the tourney. I love this years team and if everyone stays I think we are great again next. Of course transfers do happen and Troy or TB or both could bolt for the league and things would change, but were finally in a position to be able to regroup instead of rebuild w offseason departures. I know he got it off my twitter. He liked my post on there and made his post almost 10 minutes after. I really didn't think I would ever be a "source" lol. Maybe this will be my stepping stone. It never made sense to me honestly unless something else happened. Crean has stuck w him more than any other recruit, mentions him all the time so he don't feel forgotten, would have to sit another year, he would be the go to guy next year, helps his draft stock if he runs the point more next year, and he choose us twice. His "aunt" may not even be his aunt honestly I don't really know the lady that well. I have been told by a lot of people in that place though that she is though. Most all the blackmon family wanted him at UK though, so I think the all like stirring shit up. I pray this isn't true and it sounds cleared up that it isn't. Anything can happen though, but sounds like James will be back what bothers me is when you search his name on twitter all the negative comments made about me. We have had a bad history of bashing our own players wth. Not good for the program to have that rep.

In all reality what people on here aren't getting is I pray to god it isn't true. I like James, went to several games at Marion and even Luers right after he committed the first time. I have always followed him and was thrilled when he came here. I have been one that thinks his injury still hurts us, because our growth wasn't him going out it was a collection of players growing up. More minutes for O.G may have been a factor, but still believe this team would be better with him. Next year this would be his and TB's team and maybe Troy's too. Still think Hartman will have a great senior year, but that's next year. I have seen the sources online claiming this and honestly I do hope they got it from me, because if not it probably is true. I'm rooting for JB, but we have to be ready for his departure which I would want a graduate player instead of another freshmen. I think Cujo and Green are gonna be good and Newkirk will be better than thought. Still need more leaders in the backcourt though. I hope I am wrong and in no sense was trying to take a shot at James or even implying anything towards wanting him gone. Just what I heard, but it was told to me by his aunt.

Basketball is literally all this town talks about. No one has to believe me, but if I was making it up why would I question it? I was just saying what I heard.

How can papers be signed already though and not get mentioned? That's the only part that doesn't make sense? Other than that I don't get it one bit unless something serious happened. He wants to play in the NBA but is willing to sit another year just to play a game again. Yogi is leaving so he would be our best scorer.
