(2018) ATH/WR Cam Jones to IU
Yogi's Picnic Basket replied to Dalton26's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Cam Jones visited Memphis over the weekend with a IU OL target Jerome Carvin. Cam says he is still fully committed to IU though for those wondering. -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
Yogi's Picnic Basket replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Shittu is planning to announce in a few weeks which wasn't expected after missing the early signing period. No other visits set either but did say he is in contact with UNC. Vandy looks good though. -
(2018) WR Luke Shayotovich
Yogi's Picnic Basket replied to Yogi's Picnic Basket's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Great player. Had 60 catches for 753 with 13 touchdowns for Avon. They finished 10-3 on the year and he was one of the main reasons they made it as far as far as they did. Ran into Reese Taylor and Ben Davis though. -
Committed to play at IU as a preferred walk on.

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

I know Wright was from Minnesota and we seemed to be okay in regards to Race regardless. Any help with Hurt would be nice, but if we get McKinley, do we still get RP? We could go on and on with scenarios but it does no good. I like how things ended up for us and I think McKinley does as well. If we were willing to take Race tho we would've took Wright if Archie really wanted him at IU just my opinion though. I was mainly meaning as a scholly situation whether we kept Al or went for Wright. Though I think Al could become a great secondary ball handler with RP in the future, he shouldn't see the majority of his minutes there -
De'Anthony Melton is making his debut for USC against Vandy. This could be a blow out.

Nothing against McKinley btw, but he does seem like the pg Archie really likes, but Al's potential is what makes it an easy choice for me. Al has a huge fan in me as well as others, but if we could've somehow traded Newkirk for Wright I would've been all aboard. -

Yeah I feel the same and guys if we got him, that likely means we may have missed out on Race or one of our freshmen. IDK if any other schools were a threat for Race as a RS, but either or I will take our 4 guys. I thought Moore should have RS as well, but I know he didn't want to. Give Moore a year or two. -

Yeah New Albany isn't just the Langford show. I was impressed with the whole team. Gonna be a good year of high school hoops in Indiana that's for sure. -

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
Yogi's Picnic Basket replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Just saw this a bit ago on Twitter this kid is ultra talented but he needs to get a lot stronger before he has a chance at impacting the game on a NBA level. Sounds like Tennessee or the NBA for him at the moment But unless some loop holes pop up for Romeo I would expect it to not be a concern. Still think he would strongly considering college if the option even popped up. -

I believe myself personally under appreciated his talent. Caught a game early in the year for him last year, but he is night and day difference right now. It's amazing. I will say from some conversations, the family is definitely paying attention to the NBA and their proceedings about the draft, but they believe also that it probably won't be a factor until the following year. -

Haha sadly social media will end up having a few highlights I'm sure. New Albany as a whole was impressive though. Hoping I can make a few more trips throughout the season where I will be sure to stray KU and Vandy guys away though. I really think Romeo and Rob will be playing for the state title -

Got invited down to see Romeo and New Albany play in their scrimmage. Romeo was awesome. Had 35 by my stat sheet and a huge dunk I am sure you guys will see on social media. -
(2018) S Jordan Jusevitch to IU
Yogi's Picnic Basket replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Also worth noting, he is 1 interception away from 20 for his career. His one last night was a huge one. Jordan said he is more motivated than ever this morning to avenge the loss in Semi State last year. Amazing kid. I have became a huge fan of his game but even bigger fan of him as a person. -
(2018) K Charles Campbell to IU
Yogi's Picnic Basket posted a topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Couldn't find his thread, but Charles tells me he will be signing his NLI next month to officially become a Hoosier. Campbell is one of the best kickers in the country. Underrated pickup for Tom Allen and co. -

Our '19 class is where the elite talent WILL come. Add in our guys we have for '18 and on the roster these guys know we are a few pieces away. -

Brooks will end up coming down to a final 3 or 4 of IU, MSU, UK and KU and depending on how prioritized he is by each school one or 2 will weed themselves out. I think 65/35 we get him with the momentum going up. -

Romeo wants to compete for a title, but if playing with talent was his main concern, Duke and UK would have hung around longer. Romeo will watch teams this year but it was pretty much in bold when asked if THIS years rosters and records will matter much. His response was a team that can give him a chance and what team will showcase him to be a top pick in the draft. His family is smart and knows the game better than most and probably all of us. They know how different teams look year to year. That is why even if we miss the tourney I wanna see progress. If we show enough we will definitely be more than a sentimental pick for his top 3. Right now word is the Grimes commit doesn't bother him and would welcome playing alongside him but will there be enough touches to go around is a question they are asking themselves more and likely. KU will be LOADED next year. Concerned with Garland and Vandy connection more than anything, but those 2 still won't be enough to compete for a titlel as good as they are. Maybe if Shittu goes there but as others have said it is a whole new ball game. Every insider not just Dukes has Shittu going there and for the last month actually 2 I believe there has been no serious threat for even a visit. Unless he signed before the deadline and no one has mentioned yet, he will take other visits. -
Tim Garl's Father Passes Away

Thoughts and prayers for the family. -
We look pretty good right now. People keep praying our guys don't stay healthy cause that is the only chance we don't compete for a title in a couple years. RoCo's injury was minor just like a normal one and Simmons has no lingering effects at all. Any guy can get hurt and yes Embiid worries me but when healthy he is one of the best bigs in the league. Plenty of other guys to mention that still have room to grow and if Fultz even becomes half of what his potential is then I am fine with that. Still a long year, but if you still think I'm crazy as some said in the Summer just wait till we use some cap space next summer and potentially add the Lakers pick. The chances of PG staying in Indy obviously weren't very good btw.

(2018) CB Jaylin Williams to IU

Yeah, he is one of the kids coming in on D the staff thought could earn some PT from the jump. He did say nothing is certain and he may not even pay attention to it, but we will see. -

I wish Phinisee could enroll at the semester. That would be amazing. We all know Archie can teach defense. Next year he will have a guy to take care of the ball too. This 3-4 years till we're good again talk is wayyyy too premature. -

It will be amazing what a true pg will do for this team next year. I love our class and freshmen as well as Green and Davis. I think we're gonna be a lot better than people think next year.
