What gets me past the underwhelming aura IU fans have created around the kid is that there's something to be said for a kid who can pass and catch the ball. Some of our better players struggle with that. Kill me if I'm wrong, I just get the feeling this kid is going to be the next Hulls. Not a 4 year starter. Don't expect him to see much time next year. But he's a program guy

I don't think that's the aim at all. They believe he's gonna be a player. But the thing that a lot miss... There's a human aspect here. Crean is known for this kind of thing. He saw something special in Grant. Maybe it's his unassuming personality? Maybe he thinks he will grow into the model/leader like Zeisloft? Following his gut when it comes to scouting is a very good thing for IU! We all aren't privy to the most important information anyways, so it's hard to tell why some things happen the way they do It's definitely going to be fun to see what Grant does.

I hope I'm wrong about Green! To get back on topic Danny Green isn't someone we necessarily want our players looking up to. But maybe Devonte is his own man. His recruiting didn't make much sense. Seems to be very skilled yet he didn't seem highly sought?

Understandable if that's what your knowledge base of him is, that "he's not as good of a shooter" But his high release at 6'5" is the difference IMO. Nick is 6'2". Jordan H is 6 feet. We'll see but I'm betting this kid develops into a weapon. I don't know all of his numbers but I know he can raise up and make them very quickly. In this offense, there are opportunities for that. We'll see!
