  1. Colopy strikes out. Only Toetz and Richardson can hit this game.
  2. Barr grounds out to pitcher to get lead runner. Another unfortunate at-bat.
  3. And the mound visit comes and a pitching change. Rutgers pulls a Rick Heller from last weekend removing his best reliever for a less good guy. We took advantage last week. Can we again? Also another lefty who is OK but no where near the last buy to face a righty in Barr. Interesting.
  4. Richardson singles and we have something cooking again. Can we capitalize.
  5. Toetz 2-2 and the walk as he singles to lead off inning. Only guy seeing it well today.
  6. No damage. We have played 1 hr 55 min. Wow
  7. Down 1-2-3. I guess only good news is we have best part of lineup in ninth. Also both teams have saved their bullpen which matters since we have Nebraska later and we need Rutgers to beat Nebraska two more times. We should have everyone but Bothwell available rest of weekend which helps a lot. Especially with Mudungo going next game who has not started a lot against Nebraska ace. Mercer using Maciochi to pitch which is a good move to save the best bullpen pitchers. He rarely pitches and was unlikely to be used against the Huskers.
  8. NVM. Rutgers goes to their closer for a six out save who is their one good reliever. Six out saves are tricky as Litwicki learned last week but this guys is good.
  9. Ok. It worked out as Brown gets double play to end inning. Question is can we get anything off Wereski with 6 outs left. Actually Rutgers goes to pen for some reason so we may have a chance but need a run with 6 outs left.
  10. Intentional walk. I get it but not sure I like it given Brown's control issues.
  11. We finally get an out but sac fly moves runners up.
  12. Yup he does that a lot. Offense should be absolutely destroyed Mercer. Especially Hopkins, who really screwed inning up.
  13. No. He's been pinch hitting. He strikes out way to much and is a senior. Better to let Fouergousse learn on job as he will be better by next year than Fucci ever was. Same with Espalin. These guys are growing on job and its going to be beneficial starting next year.
  14. And Brown walks the next 2. Told you all we did was 'ice' Brown with the offensive failure. We would of been better off going down 1-2-3 again then the stupidity we pulled.
  15. I thought so to, but he probably would of been out looking at throw. I have a bigger problem with Hopkins and what he did next.
  16. And of course Brown gives up a HR. That sequence probably just lost us the game:(.
  17. Colopy had a great at bat fouling off many pitches before the pop out. Very unfortunate. The Hopkins at bat was ridiculous with a first pitch pop out. Fougerousse has an OK at bat before striking out. Scarlet Knights have all the momentum now and I have a bad feeling Brown is going to blow up here. Good news is I don't think Wereski can last much longer if we can get through this but that was ridiculous that we blew a scoring chance. 0-0 to Bottom 7.
  18. Hopkins pops out and we are going to blow this chance. 2 outs and still no one in.
  19. A popout to center to shallow to score a run for first out:(. Bases still loaded one out for Hopkins.
  20. This announcer can't seem to pronounce his own pitchers name correctly for Rutgers at times. It's where-reh-ski. I figured out before game before ever hearing it but somehow this announcer struggling with it. Makes sense when you think you have a beautiful stadium over putting field turf in:).
  21. Barr walks. Bases load. 0 outs.
  22. Richardson Steals 2nd. 2nd and 3rd no outs.
  23. Toetz to third after a Richardson single! Lets score. Still no outs.
  24. Breaking we have a hit: It's Paul Toetz who walked for only other base runner of game in 1st.
