  1. Have a runner at 2nd again with no outs on single and wild pitch.
  2. Bierman gets the K and lead holds right at 4-1. Lets see if we try to stretch Bierman another inning or go to Litwicki for six out save maybe.
  3. Barr just had a web gem for second out at first as runner goes to second. Now run would of scored anyways with way inning played out.
  4. Infield single makes it 4-1 with runner at first. Cornhuskers seem to have an act for perfectly placed soft contact.
  5. A groundout gets runner to third with one out.
  6. We did it again. A leadoff bunt that had no chance at an out is tossed into RF on an ill advised throw and Nebraska has runner at 2nd no outs.
  7. Top 6 done. Bierman through 6 at 74 pitches so can almost certainly give you one more inning if not two. Schannamen done for Nebraska. Huskers have a very solid pen (last week withstanding), but used their two best guys yesterday for multiple innings so they are most likely unavailable.
  8. Hopkins flies out to end it. Nebraska tried to hand us a run but we would not take it. 4-0 to 6th.
  9. Two out walk for Vecrumba.
  10. Colopy strikes out and Richardson still at third.
  11. Popout to second keeps Richardson parked at 3rd for Colopy.
  12. Richardson at third with no outs after a walk and two wild pitches.
  13. Bierman only at 60 pitches through 5 innings so hopefully you can get at least 7 if not 8 out of him.
  14. Bierman works around a two out walk and its 4-0 halfway home.
  15. Maybe but that's a lot to turn around and pitch again for a short relief guy. A long relief guy like Tucker, Bothwell or Mudungo could, but I would be more leery with Stahl. I think I would go with Bothwell on a days rest since he goes multiple innings a lot. Ideal would be 8 from Bierman and Litwicki closes though:).
  16. We got two on with a walk and a HBP but a double play ends it. 4-0 IU after 4.
  17. Bierman dealing again with a 1-2-3 and keeping pitch count low so far. Must stay that way. 4-0 to bottom 4.
  18. Schanamen doing better now and goes 1-2-3. Only problem here is I really wanted Huskers to burn through their pen before facing Rutgers, but ultimately holding on and getting win most important. 4-0 to 4th.
  19. Bierman another quick 1-2-3. 4-0 IU to Bottom 3.
  20. Yes need a good 7-8 innings from him with only Litwicki and maybe Bothwell available out of pen (who threw a ton of pitches Friday) who have good experience. You maybe could use Macciochi again today after just 12 pitches yesterday, but don't love going to him or Jack Walker who both have little experience. Otherwise it would be someone who has not pitched this year. Everyone else not available after multiple innings yesterday. 4-0 to 3rd.
  21. Goodnight. Nebraska got greedy trying to stretch a single to a double and it's a 1-2-3 inning for Bierman as we go Bottom 2.
  22. Ashley grounds out to end it. 4-0 After 1. Good inning. Don't think Schanamen stays in for to long as we forced him to throw 40 pitches that inning. That's important as we need Huskers to burn through their bullpen with playing Rutgers after us and we need them to lose twice today.
  23. Four pitch walk to Houston and we bat around with two outs. Back to Ashley.
  24. Single again by Hopkins and its 4-0. As announcers said IU beating Nebraska with 1,000 papercuts. Works for me.
