3-0. Sarver with a great bicycle kick off a side pass from Endeley to make it 3-0.

Its accurate. When we get out of Big Ten and play these teams with better offenses but also leakier defenses we tend to do better as a whole. Field really opens up for us to score and our defense is organized enough to stop these higher powered offenses.

Another Goal! What a great long pass from Glass to Sarver who was streaking up the middle to front of goal and he finishes. 2-0 11 min in. VCU is probably the best team to play here this year and we are running circles around them.

Goal! VCU becomes first team this year to completely forget about Bezerra and leave him unmarked in box for easy goal. Took a pass from Sarver for the easy finish in front of goal wide open. 1-0 3 min in.

Kind of important from RPI perspective as we try for bye and home games in NCAA Tournament. VCU is in top 30 and we need some wins to improve our RPI from our current 17. VCU is very much on level with whatever opponent we will play in second round of NCAA tournament assuming we get that bye and home game so good test.

PSU wins and Maryland completely fell apart. That does not help us at all. If we can also beat Maryland Sunday his game does not matter at all. Scenario's: Win+PSU Loss or tie=Big Ten Title outright Tie+PSU loss=Big Ten Title outright Win+PSU win=Shared title with PSU with us getting 1 seed Tie+PSU Tie=Shared title with PSU with us getting 1 seed Tie+PSU Win=PSU Title, IU Second Loss+PSU Loss=Shared 2nd with PSU and us winning two seed with Maryland taking title Loss+PSU win or tie=3rd (Maryland and PSU share title with PSU draw and Nittany Lions take it on their own if they win)

OT. We def want the score to stay same or Maryland win. PSU win helps us very little other than a tie Sunday locks up a top 2 seed. We would still need to beat Maryland Sunday to win title if Nittany Lions win.

Makes sense. We have not played tonight. If we beat VCU tomorrow it will probably move up 2-3 spots. If we beat Maryland we can probably move it into top 10.

If we can get this Maryland team to show up Sunday we should win. Don't expect that though as they are much better than this. PSU literally running them off the field.

It is only fair that it comes down to IU and Maryland for all the marbles. By far the two best soccer schools in conference by a large margin and only ones with a real fan base. Other schools can try and claim to be be soccer schools, but they are lightyears behind IU and Maryland and fluctuate between up and down.

Think its safe to say we are getting that top two seed but needing to beat Maryland. PSU is in a funk. Also the PSU goalie Shakes is having the worst luck. Had the goal allowed against us on the own goal where he simply just missed being able to reach the wayward header by his defensive teammate Brandon Hackenberg (Christian Hackenberg's brother). Now its 2-0 with a ball that slides through his legs as he slips on the wet turf trying to make a save.

I have no idea why they put Linke on the first game as the "A" announcer for the Big Ten when this is the better game. Not a fan of Voster who is doing this one and love Linke. Maybe Linke likes doing the earlier game better but still think they should of put their best announcer on this game. Oh well.

I think I'd rather clinch second place now and hope to beat the turtles on Sunday. A tie means we can fall to third and have to travel in Semi-Finals of Big Ten Tournament if we lose. It's a tough call, but I think I'd rather lock up the two seed tonight and then hope to win Sunday for the title. It would be nice to be able to clinch with a draw Sunday, but I think I want that second round home game clinched tonight which takes Maryland winning.

Maryland scores first. If this holds it means IU locks up a top two finish, but would have to beat the Terps to win the Title.

I believe we have locked up at least 3rd now in the Big Ten. No matter what happens in this second game it is relatively good news. A Maryland win would lock up at least the two seed and a second round home game in the Big Ten Tournament but we would need to beat them to get the one seed and Big Ten Title. A tie means we can clinch at least a share of the Big Ten title and the one seed simply by tying Maryland this weekend. A Penn State win is the least good but means a win or tie with Maryland clinches a top two seed. Do we take the safest route and root for Maryland tonight to ensure that second round Big Ten Tournament home game but make title hopes slightly harder or do we root for the tie which puts us in best position to win conference Sunday, but also could drop us to three seed if we lose?

Agreed. As I said Wittenbrink's cross looked like it was heading out of bounce. Great job by Bebej to save it and put in front of goal. That was key to the score.

Never seen a goal like that where the ball looked like it was flying out of bounds. Great job to stay with it and create a goal from nothing. Happened in 2017 against Wisconsin where Mason Toye scored directly from an awkward angle off a free kick for that win. Now we are in good shape and if we beat Maryland we win the title. Going to need to play better though on the attack. With that said Maryland and IU are great equals and should be a classic as always. Also NCAA hopes are in great shape and a chance against VCU Wed. for a big RPI win. We now have the defense to win it all again and just a bit of a midfield to set up scores and we can beat anyone.

Seems to be an issue this season. We have the attacking players but the build up in the mid lacks a bit. That is what is keeping this team from being as good as 2017 and 2018 again.

Much better half but at some point you have to be able to put one in.

The rain cost Wiscy a goal when one of their players slipped in the box on a perfect cross and an open net. Very lucky it is 0-0 but that was also case last week and we found a way against PSU.

I want to be clear. This season is absolutely a step in right direction, but still the collapse down the stretch and inability to score were disappointing.

Not a good half. The sole reason we have improved is because Celentano has started making his crazy saves again in the back part of the season and made two more that half. That said crazy saves by Celantano can ride us to a championship and almost did last year. Especially if we can figure out a way to put one home, although only had one good chance that half and Wiscy many.
