Not sure on Celentano yet or other guys going pro. Only Bezerra specifically tweeted he is leaving, hence why they brought in Henderlong to fill that exact role.
-
This one is really big: IU just poached Karsen Henderlong as a grad transfer from Xavier. He was their primary offensive player and an elite scorer who had eight goals last year and seven each in the two seasons before that. With Bezerra going pro, I assume he becomes our main scorer in the forward role. Would expect similar production at IU and is from Indiana and an elite recruit out of high school.

Michigan State did pretty close to that this year.

IUWBB vs Miami (FL) in the Bahamas - 11/27/21 @ 8:30

An update on Maryland who suffered blowouts to both our next opponent NC State and a Stanford team we just talk to wire. Maryland was without two of their top players. With that said they have five other top players who are were available. Gives me more confidence we can compete with NC State at full strength since we did the same with Stanford when they did not. The Terps though still should of been more competitive and I hope IU is. When you have seven of the top 15 players in the Big Ten, losing two should still be more than adequate to stay with anyone in country. I liken it to IU soccer. When you have 11 players and five bench guys who would start almost anywhere else in country, losing two to three top players should not drastically alter your results. Any other team in the Big Ten can use that as an excuse with two to three top players, but Maryland having seven it should be better. -

Ugh. Inexcusable to let a mediocre Miami team back into the game twice after building a big lead and the Hurricanes had a great look at a three for the win at the buzzer they missed. Never apologize for a win, but for first time this season we looked anything but the top 5-10 team we are. Hopefully this a fluke. Maryland got pounded by Stanford today (rather than the close game we had), so if we play up to our ability I feel better about the NC State game Thursday now and also our ability to compete with Terps in the Big Ten. Still improvement needed but 5-1 is exactly where I had us at this point. -
IUMS @ Washington - 11/27/21 @ 3:00 ET - Sweet 16 Match

The team saved a disastrous season with a much better second half to the year. With that said the reason we lost today, is we put ourselves in a terrible position by coming out early and playing badly in September. Because of that we got a National Championship caliber team in the Sweet 16 on the road. The reason we advanced to the College Cup three times in four years is because we set ourselves up in the best possible position with top seeds and no road games. This year we did not set ourselves up with a good seed and got a really hard game much earlier than needed. If we want to go to College Cups as we have last few years before this one, we need to play well from the jump so we put ourselves in position to do that with good matchups and NCAA tournament seeding. Proud of team for turning things around but would rather we are good from the get go in the future. -

Works for me. Going to IU-Marshall game at night so this takes it away from being opposite that. -

This is a game you win comfortably if IU is the team we think they are. IU is certainly better than Washington State and the Cougars handled the Hurricanes pretty easily. Also, Miami is picked a middle to bottom ACC team and they didn't exactly win comfortably in their cupcake games. This is a decent win for the resume, but it's one you get if you want to be a top 4 seed and host NCAA games as Coach Moren keeps talking about. -
Game now at 3pm ET due to rain in Seattle later in the day.

Stanford just lost a thriller to a really good South Florida team. Doesn't say much more about how good IU is other than Stanford, IU and USF are really good, but still interesting to note. -

Miami got beat big by Washington St today who is not the greatest team in their own right. If IU is actually the top 5-10 team they look so far, this is a game you win comfortably against the Hurricanes Saturday. -

I am not even mad about that loss. We went toe-to-toe with a legit top 5 team proving are a true top 5-10 team as well. Any win against Stanford, NC State or Maryland this yr is a bonus, but a top 2 Big Ten finish and a 23-6 record is very much in reach and after today I am more confident we can do that. Most teams don’t have Stanford’s length inside to make our inside game miserable but we hung in there. We actually played far better than the last win against Quinnipiac, but not enough in a game that could go either way. -

Not sure NC State game is winnable next week now. They are absolutely mauling Maryland early today and the Terps are better than IU. NC State has a loss to South Carolina in a close game but right now the Gamecocks and Wolfpack look like far and away the best teams in country. While you should never concede any game, right now I would say if you can finish the non-conference with only losses to Stanford today and NC State (and honestly the game today looks more gettable as Stanford has lost to a Texas team that is pretty similar to IU) it will be a success. I am not dumping on our Hoosiers at all and they are a legitimate top 10 team, but NC State and Stanford are on another level (as is Maryland possibly). -

Obviously he is leaving after this season. I am shocked he came back this year. The fact IU got three years out of him before going pro is one more than anyone thought. It is no difference than Trayce Jackson-Davis. Anyone who thought there was more than a 0% chance of him returning next yr was kidding themselves. More interesting are guys like Mihalic, Sarver, and Endeley who have pro aspirations but actually have a chance to be back next year possibly. There is a 0% either Bezerra or Celentano will be back next year and that was obvious long before this tweet. -

Good game. Now assuming we face Washington next weekend everything is gravy from here. I would like to play on as long as possible, but we rescued a season that looked like it was headed for disaster and made something out of it regardless of what happens in rest of NCAA Tournament. -

I think Holmes was trying to hard in front of her family and missed many easy layups she normally makes. She makes five more of them and does her normal damage and it's an easy 20 point win. Instead Berger rescued IU down the stretch and we survived our first nail biter of the year. Need to be better in Bahamas against elite competition but a win is a win. -
The toothpaste team said cupcake games are bad for your teeth and go brush them;).

Berger can make from half court but offense looks horrific and missing easy shots. Not sure how team looks so fluid first three games and horrific this game. -
That helps some. Louisville is better than Bowling Green so we get an easier match-up. With that said Bowling Green is still solid and IU will need to be at their best. This is not quite the same drop off as when we faced Northwestern instead of Maryland in Big Ten Tournament.

IU's game Sunday against Louisville or Bowling Green will be at 12pm.

Best way to buy game tickets?
Aaron replied to HoosierInParadise's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
IU Basketball has a pricing issue that is simple to fix, yet for some reason has not been done. Every other sports team (including IU Football) have realized you have to dynamically price tickets in this day and age with some games costing more than others based on the opponent and it has made the secondary market and primary ticket market mostly match price wise (unless a team is really bad). For some unexplained reason IU basketball is about the only team in the country not to adapt dynamic pricing, so you get a situation where the secondary market is way cheaper for bad games and way more expensive for good games. -

Wrong on radio only. Please update your post. That's why I put the "confused face" on the original post. I will take it away after it is corrected. Game is streamed on ESPN3 at this link: https://www.espn.com/watch/player/_/id/ed9ff268-1e1e-424d-ae0e-307d042286ff This is available if you subscribe to any kind of cable for free (this includes online cable like youtubetv or Sling). It cannot be bought for extra money, but as long as you have a cable subscription of some kind this link is free and available (you may need to sign in with your cable account credentials). Update: Is now corrected in the original post. -

Team was def tired after the emotional win Sunday, but didn't matter against a team of this caliber and did more than enough to win. -

Norfolk St didn't have time to do laundry after wearing their road uniforms Sunday at OSU. This sounds funny but it is the truth.
