  1. And that will remain on BTN+. Only difference is you will need to buy Peacock in addition to what you have now to watch men's and women's basketball.
  2. Agreed but you will still need BTN+ now. You will just need to buy Peacock in addition to it all. Stop kidding yourself.
  3. That is true but you may still very well have to subscribe to BTN+ for the one basketball game a year as well as other IU sports. BTN+ is not going away. You will just have to subscribe to cable and BTN+ for one game, but now Peacock will be needed in addition. Don't kid yourself. You will still be paying exactly what you are now except you can add $5 a month for Peacock. Its not a big deal but to all the people who think Peacock will replace BTN+ that is not the case. It is something you will need to buy in addition.
  4. Sorry Peacock's free deal with Xfinity is ending soon I belive. By the time Big Ten games are on you will have to fork over your $5.
  5. Of course it will be a way to force people to buy Peacock! If you don't believe otherwise you are naïve. Its a great business move by NBC as Big Ten fans will now have to fork over $5 a month to watch content on Peacock and it legitimizes a service that was not previously on anyone's radar really. In old deal you needed cable only if you just wanted IU football and basketball and also BTN+ if you wanted IU's other sports. With new deal you will need cable AND Peacock for $5 a month to get all football and basketball as well as BTN+ still for other sport. Basically you will have to subscribe to all the same services you do now plus Peacock. Peacock is NOT replacing BTN+ for a lot of IU's other sports. They will both have games now,

Another struggling guy. Three players I had very little hope for to do much in the program. Wish them all well.

    IU Baseball

Again. Little used player the portal is made for. I am watching if any of our young core freshmen or good players with so much promise enter as that will tell us where program is at. Losing guys at the end of your bench (Skrine) or one who falls apart despite having promise early (Fougerousse) is who the portal is custom made for and what the intentions of it are.

Not surprised. He fell off a cliff this year and Tibbitts is the future at first base and a star in the making. Players like him are the reason the portal was invented. He definitely has potential but never lived up to it and I wish him well wherever he goes and that his talent is unlocked.

    IU Baseball - B1G Tournament

Michigan won the whole tournament so I think they are fine. They still would of played one less game than IU even if brackets did not flip. That is what happens when you fall into loser's bracket as IU did.

    IU Baseball - B1G Tournament

The bracket has always flipped when you are in the losers bracket for many years. They don't want you playing the same teams over and over again, hence they flip the brackets. The fact that Michigan is making a run is surprising. In theory Maryland should of been in that spot and they don't want a team in the loser bracket playing the same team three times in a tournament. By flipping the brackets you guarantee some new match ups and it makes perfect sense.

Well for that to happen Iowa needs to beat Michigan twice (while Michigan would only have to win once) and IU needs to beat Rutgers twice (while Rutgers would only need to win once). Seems unlikely.

    IU Baseball @ Iowa - May 19-21, 2022

IU fell 2-1 in the final game of the series in one of the best games the Hoosiers have been a part of this year and played their hearts out. As the eight seed facing Maryland is not ideal and you have almost zero chance in that game. The good news is assuming you go into the losers bracket you will very likely face Michigan and Illinois back to back in either order. IU won the series against both these teams by outscoring them which is not at all hard as both teams are the Hoosier's mirror image with good hitting and awful pitching. IU will need a bunch of runs, but winning back to back games something like 12-10 is very possible against these teams and essentially what IU did against both of them this season. I would say it is 0% chance you win first game but getting to the semi's Saturday is probably 50-50 as winning back to back games against the Wolverines and Illini in the losers bracket in some order is very doable although far from guaranteed as both games are toss-ups. Getting to Friday or Saturday would end the season on a very positive note.

You want incentive? A win tonight and IU faces Illinois instead of Maryland who is a much better matchup. IU can easily outscore Illinois as both Hoosiers and Illini have awful pitching and good hitting. IU did just that when they won the series in Bloomington. Iowa is locked into the four seed for Omaha but a bubble team for the NCAA Tournament so they want to win as well to try to get a bid.

I think unless I am completely off, IU punches ticket to Omaha tomorrow despite another embarrassment unless Hoosiers, Nebraska, Maryland, and Minnesota all lose tomorrow.

Mercer should not lose his job. He has done nice job rallying team late season. Dustin Glant on other hand has to either change his ways or be fired.

    IU Baseball @ Iowa - May 19-21, 2022

Yes my understanding is he tried to toy with their mechanics when he came in but I could very much be wrong on that. It hasn’t worked and messing with something that was working (assuming it’s true) should be a one-way ticket out of town for him.

    IU Baseball @ Iowa - May 19-21, 2022

IU had their most embarrassing game in school history and lost 30-16. However, seemingly no one in the conference could pitch tonight and everyone below IU lost so magic number to clinch a spot in conference tourney is down to one. Glant needs to be fired after season and has ruined IU's pitching pretty much on his own, but an impressive rally to close season and not quit with chips down. Hopefully, with a new pitching coach and the portal, IU can get back to where they were in 2008-2019 next year. The hitting is very much there and I think the pitchers have the talent and stuff do be good and with a staff change it will be fine. Think of Glant as Mike DeBord. One he left IU's offense instantly got better. I think same will happen with pitching once the pitching coach is changed.

    IU Baseball

Yup. The standings are put an random when tied. Don't use it for tiebreakers. First tiebreaker is head-to-head results and IU beat Michigan so they win any two-way tiebreaker with Wolverines.

    IU Softball

Not at all. I am as critical as anybody usually but Stanton has made softball very competitive every year she has been here. They have not been elite but they are a very competitive team in the Big Ten now. Before she got here they were a bottom feeder in the conference. Don't get expectations out of whack. As long as team continues to be competitive and compete in the middle of the conference as they are since she has been here that is all anyone can reasonably asked for softball and anything else is a bonus.

IU Baseball vs Minneosta - May 13-15, 2022

IU lost 9-8 in a back and forth game. Honestly, the Hoosiers are not good enough right now to sweep the series and are in terrific position to make the Big Ten Tournament two games clear of ninth which is all you want this year. The key is next year to try to use this improved play from the beginning to be an at-large NCAA team. They have the hitting and hopefully the pitching can keep getting a little better. In all honesty two out of three is more than a fair result given they had to pull the Friday game from nowhere and needed a huge rally to nearly steal one today.

No issues so far today. IU leads 8-0 Bottom 6 in the resumed game.
