  1. I have confirmed my knife landed at its ended target and in Lemonis' back hopefully at end of season. I'm not going to elaborate but an important person who was unaware of our struggles now is aware and is not happy and will pay closer attention to our issues. That is all I am saying. As I said if we can get Tracy back I'd take him in an instant but realistically I would go with Ty Neal which is who I wanted 1st time Smith left. To me Tracy would be Billy Donovan (ideal but unlikely) while Neal is Archie Miller (solid hire but not quite that). An important note from tonight's game also that's related: All the PU fans were talking about how their sellout tonight was so unusual and place is half full usually. For IU a full house is just another regular Saturday crowd on a nice night that is expected. I'd like to keep it that way before Lemonis destroys things. Still fun to see their new stadium and while nice, slightly inferior to ours as I said before with lack of outfield picnic area, being smaller and no turf.
  2. This team does not know timely hitting. Also attendance announced at 2,300 and thats with barely being able to move with concourse so packed and about most you can get in here without fire marshall getting involved. At IU 2,300 is a normall full house like last week. U have to approach 3,500-4,000 at iu to be this crammed.
  3. Completely disagree with this. Glass got rid of Crean at 1st moment he reasonably could my mind but some think differently. Lemonis would really be his 1st hire he would have to dump for a lack of winning. Glass has had his problems and i have mixed feelings on him but lets not saddle stuff on him he did not do. As for baseball i'm hoping we right the wrong of not hiring Ty Neal when Smith left sort of like Pacers did with Rick Carlisle after hiring Isiah Thomas over him 1st time.
  4. Having nothing to do with being at game I'm trying hard to stick a knife in Lemonis' back. I'm not going to elaborate but i'm doing my best to get Lemonis in trouble behind the scenes. I will not say anything further other than it has nothing to do with anything or anyone at game tonight but there is an outside chance it could help.
  5. Not going to post updates but something interesting before i close up is they serve beer here unlike IU.
  6. Now that im here this is my only post with quick observations: Iu's baseball stadium is just a bit nicer. pu's is nice but iu has a couple extra features pu does not, such as outfield picnic area and family bullpen kids can play in. Also iu about twice as big (3k vs 1.5k) and seats laid out better there as here seats only run about 10 rows high between foul lines as oppose to iu thats 20 rows high from 1st to 3rd base so more good seats in btown About 1,150 seat here vs iu's 2,150. About room for 500 standing vs 1,000 for iu so like i said iu about 3k vs 1,500. Also much farther from campus than ours on old farm land completely separate from main part. Crowd completely full with a few iu fans (probably 1,500 or maybe at most 2k here). Apparently someone said this is their largest crowd ever by far and iu brings people out for them. Must be fun being fun being little brother for them. LOL
  7. By the way attendance looked maybe 80-90% full from TV last night and crowd was announced at about 1,300 so like I figured their stadium is about half the size of ours. I also will point out while our play has fallen of home attendance barely has last couple years. At the Nebraska games there were like 2,500 (something PU couldn't even fit if they tried) announced for weekend games and place was 80-90% full which is fairly consistent since park opened. As of now IU and Nebraska are head and shoulders above everyone else attendance wise in conference since Bart Kaufman opened. I don't know if we can keep this up but so far attendance has not suffered much as our play has decreased in quality.
  8. You can keep appointing new posters for updates till something changes. Clearly I'm not the answer. lol
  9. I would not think a buyout for Baseball is that expensive and Wilson was very cheap since it was his fault he left with his transgressions. Crean was only expensive buyout but could payoff in long run if Archie is what we think. Also 2 mil roughly in buyouts (1.5 mil a yr roughly for Crean and 500k for Wilson in lump sum I think) in a 100 mil budget is like 2% of budget not 33% but yes a lot of coaches are needing changing right now. As I said Lemonis is only out if you miss Big Ten Tournament in my mind but we will see.
  10. Inexcusable loss. I'll try to bring them luck tomorrow. I never thought being a Cubs fan was such a help with all my Indiana teams struggling. The last year has definitely thrown my sports world upside down.
  11. Double play on pop up bunt. 2 outs still runner at 2nd. In my mind if we miss Big Ten Tourney for 1st time in 7 years the year we are hosting than you seriously start thinking about a coaching change just as women's soccer did a few years ago after the embarrassment of not being able to play as hosts. Obviously this is a long way away but if we make Big Ten tourney you see this out and see what Lemonis can do for at least another year in my mind. If he misses you make a move. If I'm Glass I think about warning Lemonis about this expectation now (which maybe he has).
  12. Another single 6-5 PU. Still no outs.
  13. Tie game on single. Still no one out with runners at corners. Our bullpen has fallen apart
  14. WIld pitch makes it 5-4 as everyone moves up 90 feet.
  15. Misplay on easy out at 1st. Bases load now with no outs. Still 5-3.
  16. I'm just commentating. I have no control on outcome. LOL
  17. Ugh. RBI single into right field corner near tarp that barely stays fair. 1st and 3rd still no outs. Kruger departs as announcer accidentally calls IU "Ohio St" as Lloyd takes over with score 5-3.
  18. big trouble to start bottom 8. 1st and 2nd no outs as Kruger is new pitcher.
  19. Bart Kaufman has 2,184 seats not including the suites (I've counted myself) plus room for probably 1,500-2,00 more between outfield grass and all the spots you can stand around park. I bet PU's park is about half that in both areas but I'll count tomorrow. 5-2 to the bottom of the 8th.
  20. If your in Bunker Hill (or Logansport for Class of 66) you should be headed to Lafayette for game with how close it is. I'm in Indy and driving up tomorrow. All are barely an hr away.
  21. I'm also calling out their crowd. For an IU PU game it looks well attended but not completely full. Of course their stadium puts 1,500-2,000 max I would think even with standing room so if you put many of our crowds in the mid and upper 2's and lower 3,000's in there you would have people sitting and standing on each others head. LOL Still 5-2 after 7!
  22. Another issue with this new stadium is it is natural grass instead of turf so the playing surface is in mediocre shape. I know Turf is controversial but as far as north as we are and with how early college baseball starts its a necessity in my mind if you want good ball before April. Still 5-2 at the stretch.
  23. 2 doubles (second one nearly leaves parks) by PU cut lead to 5-2 after 6. PU also got a single to nearly score another but Krupa gunned the runner down at the plate to end the inning!
  24. This is my 1st time doing game updates of any kind since my first job out of college when I gave live updates on another baseball team's twitter account I worked for (it was not IU but another Midwestern team) several years ago. Out of the sports industry now so a nice little blast from past for me. Thanks Lead off double from Butler leads to nothing and IU leads 5-1 still after 5.5.
