Clean 4th for Saalfrank. So far he's given a lot more than I could of asked for. Hope he keeps it up.

Saalfrank may be a ticking time bomb. Walks no. 9 hitter after being ahead 1-2 following HR. Fortunately Lemonis already has bullpen up but a double play and a ground out bails him out and were through top 3.

HR Louisville puts them on board at 4-1.

Another hit (ruled error) under Louisville 3rd baseman's glove makes it 4-0 at end of 2nd!

Yes! 2 run double by Gorski into left field corner after failing to get a bunt down on 1st 2 pitches.

Place looks about as full as I've ever seen it (which obviously isn't uncommon) including the 'expensive seats' behind home plate that you have to have a specific ticket for! Long shot view confirms every seat full pretty much.

Nice job by Saalfrank to work out of trouble with a K and DP in 2nd!

Also I think these announcers are confused. As far as I know to be draft eligible as a sophomore you have to be 21 by draft day. They said Miller is eligible this year but he doesn't turn 21 till July and draft in June 12. Am I missing something?

Not sure I want Johnson back now. As much as I think he could help throwing your dad under the bus like that makes me question what kind of character he has and if he fits what Archie is trying to do. Stay tuned. Also worth noting his twitter account is now verified which generally only happens after one officially withdraws from college and is a draft prospect.

Glad we won the last two. Was out of town last 2 days and didn't catch even a second of any game this weekend. Good news is we locked up a spot in Big Ten Tourney since we are now 3.5 games ahead of MSU for 9th with only 3 to play. Fortunately we avoided the embarrassment of not playing in tourney on our own field. Now lets lock up a spot in NCAA tourney by beating Louisville Tuesday.

Cannot believe we only lost 8 spots in the RPI as I thought it would be 20 or more. Imperative we win last 2 this weekend or were out of the tourney (unless we beat Louisville). A couple wins this weekend and were back in the high 20's. While this is damaging I'm stunned we were not penalized worse. PSU used their only good pitcher tonight so hopefully our offense will wake up as the rest of their starters are between a 5 and 7 ERA (and they have switched it up a ton since no one else has been reliable).

Just as I suspected the 3 guys we lost were leaving no matter what so we will end up with the exact same roster whether we made coaching change or not. Also Jerod Morris said on his weekly Assembly Call he is hearing 60-40 that Robert comes back. I believe him far more than any faceless twitter poster. That's lower than I would hope but odds still in our favor.

Well Lemonis blew us the game starting Hobbie. However, as I said much more important we sweep PSU than win tonight as losing 1 of the 3 to PSU will do far more RPI damage than a win tonight would of helped not to mention it affects our conference standing. Looking ahead to UL next week they actually have a slightly weaker offensive than UK but some stronger guys at the top with less depth. However, their pitching is far better than UK. That said while their 3 weekend starters are top notch, their weekday starters have been awful so that gives us a much better chance than normal. Their bullpen is lights out so it is imperative we get to whichever weekday starter they use early and are ahead in the 6th or 7th inning to have any chance. Preferably we start Kryzsko or Herrin (who have their own faults) assuming Krueger is now the Saturday guy. If we fall behind early like tonight no chance.

And Hobbie serves up another 2 runs in 2nd. They are making great contact off him unsurprisingly. Good news is he has thrown over 50 pitches in not even 2 innings so his pitch count did not let him go far. Finally Lemonis pulls him. Never should of started in 1st place but at least Lemonis got him out of there relatively fast again.

These announcer clearly are not very bright (or just to pro SEC) to say we need to beat UK to make tourney. As long as we win 5 of 6 remaining Big Ten games were in. Much more important we sweep PSU than win tonight because a loss at home to PSU will do far more damage to our RPI than a win tonight will help it.

Clearly Lemonis had no interest in winning this game by starting Hobbie. Everyone's been bad but no one has been worse than Hobbie and you don't start him against best offense in SEC. This is a game you start Herrin or Kreuger who while not great have at least been better. We were lucky we got out of 1st giving up just 2 runs. For everything I have said about Lemonis making better pitching decisions lately this one is as bad as any he was making early in year.

Or he was just throwing things at the wall and this happened to stick with Blackmon and Bryant? His theory on Johnson has yet to be proven. He has a 50/50 chance of being right on these no matter what so it doesn't mean he didn't write something out of the blue for attention and happened to be right.

That guy seems to be an average Joe who is just throwing things out there (under 400 followers and no info tying him to any news organization) from everything I am reading from his twitter posts. He makes Albers look good with his reporting and that is saying something. I actually agree with Brennan that what Rabjohns did with the JBJ information was a bit careless. It should of been clear to him the family was not telling the truth and Rabjohns should not of reported what they said. It's a tough choice and issue but clearly Rabjohns did not handle this well. With that said I believe nothing this Brennan Champion guy says and would not take anything he says as remotely fact or credible.

What guy 'had it out' with Rabjohns? I did not see that and I follow him on twitter as well as his work unless it was on his premium board which I am not a part of.

Can you please provide this link? I have searched the whole internet and cannot find an article saying anything of this sort? Are you referencing anonymous posters on message boards because I am incredibly skeptical of these 'sources' even the ones who are known to be 'credible'? I am not totally doubting you but just curious where you read this?

Albers has crafted the most elaborate lie ever (says Blackmon texted him directly to confirm he is leaving) or Blackmon is gone. I would not put anything past Albers but in past he has said 'sources indicate" when he has been lying and making things up. Either Albers has taken his lies to a new level saying the player texted him directly when it did not happen or Rabjohns owes everyone an apology for reporting something that was clearly not true (I understand the family told Rabjohns what they said and I believe they did, but common sense should of said not to report that and the family was not being entirely truthful).

That's not true. We went 0-2-1 vs Nebraska giving them the tiebreaker plus we are 2 games behind them in standings. A lot would need to happen for us to win conference even if we sweep last 6 games.

Bullpen issues again but fortunately our lead was large enough it did not matter. I have to believe we would of seen some of the better pitchers (not that we have many besides Lloyd at closer) last couple innings if game were closer. Either way does reflect our need to either recruit better pitchers or have the guys on staff improve. Huge opportunities against UK and Louisville coming up but I got to believe if we win our last 2 Big Ten series we are in NCAA tourney no matter what. Not that this will happen but if we win out including Big Ten Tourney outside shot at hosting a regional with what would be a 39-17 record and a very high RPI. More likely we will be a 2 or 3 seed in Louisville or UK's region with around a 35-20 record. Either way unthinkable a few weeks ago.
