I don't give a rats arse if Alford is gone next year and he changes his mind and wants to come back into the fold! Absolutely NOT!!! If we are not good enuff the first time around...we are certainly too good for him the second. If that is being "salty" so be it. I spent 20 yrs in the Navy and am proud to be salty. This Wilkes saga however it turns out, is really doing a number on my digestive system! I wanna say that I still have belief that he ends up here, but each day that goes by without an announcement keeps me shaking my head. There is so many why or why nots that it is difficult to understand what needs to be done to get these in state kids to stay at home. I can't put this on CTC. He has gone out of his way to get this kid on board. We've shown that we can develop and get you in the NBA, run an offense that is a fun style to play, and beneficial to that goal. I will say one thing though. If his decision is not IU, I will have a hard time with the way he has played all of this out on social media along with the continued visits to Bloomington kinda leading on the fan base. I don't care if he is only 17 yrs old. Would show a total lack of class and maturity and I would hope that his family would have directed him not to go that route. Just saying! Sorry guys...I'm a New Albany grad and have seen him play dozens of times. He is by far the best H.S. basketball player that I have seen in 20-30 yrs in this state. I just can't see how he drops off so much that he wouldn't be a one and done. He plays up in AAU against bigger, stronger players and still outshines them. Haven't seen any facets of of his game that doesn't project anything other than a short stop in college. Also, I don't think you can write IU off in this recruitment. Prefer Waters to Scruggs anyways. Got a hunch that we will see Cujo shine by the end of the season. Good guickness, can take it in or pop outside. Quicker and better defensively than JBJ. Agreed. But also like when I see all of these "final 5" schools list in tons of top recruits that have us listed. Look at it way though...those mentioned above Goodluck, Swannigan etc...nothing I've seen makes them any better than what we got instead. I'm not liking where this is going with ANY of the instate recruits. I don't know what we have to do to keep these guys at home. I do like seeing that we are top 5 on so many out of state kids lists. Is there no such thing of state pride anymore? I believe that with some of these homegrown kids, such as Wilkes, they want to hold out on decisions so they don't incur the wrath state school supporters, classmates and others. Could you imagine trying to play your senior season being booed everywhere you play or hassled while out with your friends because you didn't want to stay home and play? Don't know what CTC has to do to get these kids to commit. He has shown that he can get players to the NBA. He plays a style of basketball that is attractive to most. Get back with me this spring, but I say we get none of these guys. Oh well. Go get the kids who want to play here and we will continue to do it that way! Go IU! Is it just me or does anyone else wonder how all of the kids today whom continuously claim that they are in need of stipends, sport thousands of dollars in ink? Tattoo work nowadays runs about 50-100 bucks an hour. Was wondering that this past year after attending a lot of local H.S. games and taking in all of the artwork. Recent interview with Romeo on Louisville sports talk radio today. He talked a lot about his over summer AAU results and development. Asked about his recruiting and says he's not keeping up much with it. Says his dad handles all of the inquiries. Grew up and enjoys watching Duke. Too many people fear the loss of TB and OG to the draft when I have only seen their names on one draft site out of the 100 or so out there. SMH!

I don't care if they ever start the series back up or not. I kinda like seeing them in the tournament every few years with a chance at sending them home. They don't consider us a rivalry anyways. That's Louisville.

Kinda liking a more deliberate offense against these guys. UK can get up and down the floor with us. Keep spreading them and their defense is not any better than we've seen in conference play.

Have really enjoyed how polarizing this team has been this season. Truly thought tonight may have been a lot for us to handle with Senior night, Hawkeye skid etc... Man I really like what this team is showing! Talk about athletic and scrappy!
