There is NO package deal. They may both end up at the same school (IU) but that would only happen if Garland hops on board with us and we are Romeo's pick all along. Romeo has stated numerous times that his decision will be based upon his choice only, and if someone wants to come along that is fine, but that will not define his choice. Btw he made mention to taking visits to all of the schools. Some as not official. Had nothing to do with Garland the same weekend. Romeo, I'm sure wouldn't mind playing with Garland, but has been quoted as saying several times that he doesn't have to be a part of any package and that will not be a factor in his choice. How can you say that he sets his sights on a few schools and becomes fond of them, when the whole time all he has done is due diligence on the final 7 that he had it narrowed to. And as far as your source...everytime he has made a visit somewhere or has had a program in house, you come out and always say that that your source says that the recent visiting program is now high up in his choices. It has been this way since the Vandy visit. Your source has no more knowledge than the rest of us here on this site. No one but his family knows where he is leaning. Guys, I have absolutely NO worries about the Langford recruitment. It's really hard to explain to you guys unless you live here. This is a great family all around. I cannot say that I have seen a better young man represent his home, school and faith as Romeo has. Every story you hear is but good. Every story you read is but good. Never a negative. Sometimes in our day and age is is difficult to believe. I have witnessed his generosity myself. How he gives of his time for fans of any age but especially the younger kids. Sometimes I think it is too good to be true. His parents knew at a young age that he could become something special and wasted no time in raising him to be not an exceptional athlete, but an exceptional young man. CBS is reporting that "it has been learned that C2 was Rick Pitino". They are not confirming though. Why people here in Louisville couldn't believe the Rick would publically lie when stating how clean of a program he runs, is ridiculous to me. I never implied that TC was a great coach. I thought that it was time for him to go. But I cannot see how anyone could not throw some accolades his way. If it is all about winning a national championships and only expectations of that, I could understand the sentiments. That is the ultimate goal every season. If Crean played clean against those that didn't, and that put our program at any kind of a disadvantage, then some accolades should be thrown his way. For a 4 to 5 year period, we had the highest winning percentage against top 10 ranked teams than any other team in the country. That too seems to be lost on alot of people. I'm not defending TC or his body of work, but to totally dismiss is just plain ludicrous. But what do I know. I know that some on here (not naming names) had been against the hire from the start. SMU was 30+ years ago. Prior to that, SMU was penalized seven times previously going back to 1974. Just don't see that for Louisville.
