I will always be a Tom Crean fan. He loved IU and loved Bloomington. He and his family were very visible/active in the community. I heard he fought hard to keep his job and challenged for one more year. Things were going bad but I think he should have got that one more year.

I am not a man first of all.

I don’t know how to unpack this post. Beard’s behavior not for off than Knight’s? This post makes me sick and is wrong on so many levels.

I don’t want Beard to even set foot on campus let alone lead our basketball program.

People were definitely leaving early - like 6 minutes left in the game early. There were some boos but nothing excessive. The student section was quiet overall especially late with many checking out early. The under 8 timeout was surreal when they do the flags. Most people were sitting and I have never seen the under 8 timeout that quiet before. I think as the 2nd half wore on the crowd didn’t know what to do. Try to cheer to get them going, booing, etc. It seemed like most just sat in disbelief at what was happening and didn’t know what to do. It was just really weird.

I don’t think he should be fired after year 3 but would LOVE it if he chose to walk away. I’m so sick of him taking credit after wins and throwing his team under the bus after losses, not to mention playing the injury card every chance he gets. CMW loves him some CMW.

I was able to be at the game and the best performance by far was the halftime show. The Firecrackers are so awesome! Not much to say about the game itself. It was just awkward at the Hall today.

Love that for Anthony Leal! Those defensive plays he made against Perkins in the final two minutes when Perkins was trying to take over is big time stuff. For those of us that have been begging for him to play, hopefully CMW sees he needs to play big time minutes going forward for this team. Clutch shot by Cupps. Let’s go!

I understand. I personally think May has done enough and another FF run he is our coach next year. It’s just my opinion, but it’s either Woodson or May. For those that don’t like either option I don’t know what to tell you.

I think there are two things that would have to happen for us to make a change. 1. It’s no secret Dusty May wants this job. If the Owls make another run in the tournament like last year I think Woodson is ‘nudged’ out in the most gracious way to bring Dusty home. 2. I don't know if the administration will tolerate any more off court incidents or if we keep with the dirty play/cheap shots. As I said after the Wisconsin game, Don Fischer calling our teams actions embarrassing is a pretty big deal. He is not going to get forced out and we go do this big search and try to go after someone like Peal/Beard or pick whatever name you want. That’s not happening. In my opinion, it’s 50/50 right now that it will be Woodson or May next year.

I heard someone say he’s averaging double figures, shooting almost 50% from three, and 95% on free throws. Let that sink in. Good for him.

But we are not just another basketball program. The candy stripes and the ‘Indiana’ emblazoned on the back of the jacket still mean something. Indiana fans will travel wherever the team goes and there are Indiana fans EVERYWHERE. Indiana basketball still means something. There are a ton of fans in Btown right now that would jump at the chance to get a ticket to our next home game and to be inside the Hall. We are all frustrated with our on court results over the years because we care and love Indiana basketball. That’s why we are not just another basketball program and never will be. I disagree with the narrative about fans aging out. Even if that were to happen, it wouldn’t be in any of our lifetimes that’s reading this. There are too many grandfathers that have shared Indiana basketball with their kids. There are too many dads that have shared Indiana basketball with their kids. There are too many kids right now that go to bed crying after an IU loss. Just another program? Nope.

I didn’t think Woodson would be fired. Now, I do think he will be nudged out in one way or another. The play on court is bad itself, but it’s the other extracurricular activities that the administration will take issue with. All the technicals, flagrants, ejections, and not to mention the incident at Taco Bell and all the other incidents that have occurred. I don’t know how he survives that. If it was just poor play on the court, that’s one thing, but all these extra offenses will give the administration pause and I’m sure they are hearing about it from some very influential people. Don Fischer calling this embarrassing is no small thing.
