Going to be real hard when May goes to UL and takes all of our top high school players Woodson has no interest in. Probably going to put some we are familiar with on his staff to top it off. UL will make his buyout to IU impossible.

I think Dolson is silent because he wants to make a change but doesn’t have the support. I don’t blame him if he doesn’t say anything. Woodson is under contract so he doesn’t have to say anything. I actually think his silence speaks volumes that this is not what he wants.

I wonder what Scott Dolson is thinking right now? Probably something along the lines of the coach I want (Dusty May) is going to put his stamp on a new program and I’m handcuffed with this Mike Woodson clown show.

That’s 3 games Leal has won for us in crunch time. As a Leal fan, Senior night speech not withstanding, I’m happy for him.

IU 72 Penn St 64

Don’t go back to being a Purdue fan lol.

I know your stance, and I’m not saying in hindsight that I wish we would have lost out. I want to win every game possible regardless.

This is probably going to be unpopular, and I know the issues are much deeper than a couple of meaningless games, but I still contend that if we had lost out and not won a couple of games a change would have been made. That’s how clueless our administration appears to be at this time.

Fractured. I don’t know how else to describe it. Wondering how the former players that want him gone feel right now. Can’t wait until those guys speak out. Then we have former players that think he is the greatest thing ever. The biggest mistake remains hiring him in the first place.

IU 62 Minnesota 75

This is sooo hard to keep up with. Quinn Buckner is on BTB as well as other possible board members. Chris is very active and gives us all his good knowledge. Not to mention still debating about dropping by his office for that good coffee and warm smile. Yeagley has made an appearance. I’m not sure who he is but I am sure it’s someone to pay attention to. Oh and @Class of '66 Old Fart is going out of his way to welcome the new female members which is a problem for me since I am currently waiting out that relationship. I love all the activity but this is just too much for me to process right now.

This is kind of good news but I prefer the backup.

IU 64 Maryland 76

It is possible to give Woodson credit while also being critical. TJD (and Race ) was gone and he got them back. We beat Purdue and made the tournament but there is a feeling those teams underperformed. He got Kopp but failed to use him properly. (Kopp was probably my favorite player the two years he was here and I defended him relentlessly on this board but he was used poorly by this staff). He wasn’t able to retain A.Franklin. He got JHS to the pros after one year. JHS was always going to be a pro, just a question of when. He landed Mgbako. I think promises were made. Also think Mgbako and his handlers saw the writing on the wall at Duke. That he struggles athletically is being kind. Tired of all the excuses about him having a lot to learn defensively. He is a lazy player. I have seen him give zero effort at times this season but his name may as well be penciled in stone as the starting 3 for CMW. CMW seems to tell his staff to go after the big fish recruiting guys like Boogie and Queen but doesn’t seem to know what to do when those kids say no thanks to CMW. Why are we not out recruiting Indiana high school players from the get go? I’m sure guys like Painter, Izzo, Shrews, Fran, etc are grateful to take our talent CMW doesn’t seem to care about. He acts like everything is a chore. Recruiting, meeting with the media, etc. This is the job. How could he have not known that? It’s like he thought he could just come back to IU and not put in the work and just coach the games and that he could get most of the players he wants to get because he is Mike Woodson. I would love to know how other coaches view him, how high school/AAU people view him, and how people in the athletic department at IU view him.

Hold on…we can come visit?

It’s just my opinion. I have never really thought he was going anywhere. I thought maybe if we lost out that would have been the only way we would make a change and I have always wanted us to win each time we take the court regardless. I have a tough time for those that want us to lose but whatever. I get one win doesn’t change anything, but just the sheer optics of losing out is a lot worse than getting a W.

I know where you stand. I want to win as many games as possible. Really happy for the players and staff tonight.

I don’t think we are done winning but I do think we had to get one.

That’s just so level headed.
