  1. Then he would have poured in a cool 40.
  2. Might as well send RP and the boys too now.

    IU v OSU BTT Thread

I agree. What I don’t understand is that we have a guy (Race) that albeit undersized has shown that he is more than willing to mix it up and he doesn’t see the court. I like Juwan and I get that he is playing out of position but he has shown repeatedly he can’t match up against legit big men. He kind of just goes away. He showed that today a number of times.

He was a big part of the problem.

    B1G Tournament - Non-IU Games

That their coach is Tim Myles has a lot to do with it.

I didn’t understand this either and I don’t remember anyone on our side being upset about it.

What do you want him to do in the post game interview? Beat on his chest? You call it lucky. Archie calls it being clutch and that good players make clutch shots in winning time. I tend to agree with Archie.

Archie said it best postgame. The kid is clutch and you gotta make your own breaks. Good players make shots especially when it’s crunch time.

Look at your last sentence again. You just made my point for me. Now go look at the stats from Dayton.

He was looking like Steph because he has the quick release. Please tell me your kidding me about the overtime shot being lucky. Your putting me on right? The kid can shoot. Nothing lucky about it. He buries teams. I can understand if you still think it’s being lucky. Maybe you don’t know what a shooter looks like since we don’t have one.

I get what your saying but dig deeper and check out the stats from Dayton. This FT % isn’t an anomaly. At some point....

The kid just has a quick release and is a good shooter. He wasn’t just throwing them up and getting lucky. He has done it to a few teams and has buried us twice. The part that I don’t get is that we have a kid in state (which was supposed to be a priority) that is an obvious need and that has this same quick release and shot that this coaching staff has shown zero interest in.

    Random Archie/Basketball Talk

I have to strongly disagree here. Romeo standing on the wing is more a product of the offense than him simply being lazy. The CAM offense is predicated on ball movement not player movement except the simple dribble handoff from the top of the key. That offense may have worked at Dayton but that ain’t going to get it done at this level.

    Random Archie/Basketball Talk

Dakich said offensively this isn’t a Romeo or Juwan problem. This is a coaching problem. He is a exactly right. It doesn’t matter the players we have or don’t have or whatever. It ain’t about recruiting or Crean leaving us with a bad hand. Stop with the excuses. If you enjoy seeing no player movement, and a simple weave at the top with dribble handoffs then CAM is your guy. This isn’t going to change and it doesn’t make one damn bit of difference who is wearing the jerseys. I don’t understand how a coach at this level can’t get a Romeo Langford type quality looks at the basket and shots. That’s beyond me. He will be a much better pro player than a college player and that is incredibly sad. I’m an IU fan and will hope I’m wrong and that this changes but I have also been around enough basketball and coaches to know sadly it won’t. This is what we have. I would argue the way the Board questioned Glass at their annual luncheon a few weeks ago about the state of the football team and men’s basketball that it may not be for long.

    IU vs OSU 2/10/19

I’m torn. However the injuries and bad roster is an excuse I’m getting really tired of. Don’t forget Holtman has had less time on the job and widely regarded worse roster. Let’s also not forget that Holtman won in AH last year as well. Any educated fan should be able to see what came out of those timeouts in today’s game. Combine that with the recruiting class OSU has coming in next year and it pains me to say this that unless something changes Holtman is going to own CAM. I shouldn’t be surprised that Holtman being 2-0 at AH ...the guy can flat out coach. It just pisses me off with what we got right now.

(2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State

This kid is an ELITE shooter. That’s the difference. He has some other questions in his game that we will soon find out but don’t sell him short. He also has a slick handle and is an excellent passer.

    Dan Dakich during Flor/Kent game

I don’t know how it’s left field when the network had a promo shot of the MSU/IU game just before or that Shulman made a comment before Dakich but whatever. Did you watch the game or just what you wanted and ran with it?

    Indiana vs Nebraska 1/14/19 6:30pm FS1

It’s not about W’s and L’s as much as no adjustments being made to effectively use players with the talents of a Romeo or JM. It’s absolutely fair to question a head coach in year 1 or year 30 who seems incapable of running anything resembling an offense besides just trying to force feed your post player or not giving your star guard any offensive scheme except giving him the ball and hoping he makes a play in iso.

    Indiana vs Nebraska 1/14/19 6:30pm FS1

He looks lost A LOT. As does the rest of the coaching staff. Facial expressions and body language are not in a good place and believe me a lot of people are seeing this.
  24. IU - Kaulie

    So some concerns I’m having...

Body language says a lot. How many times do the cameras catch Archie with the I don’t know what I’m doing look and then the look over to his assistants who say nothing and look as confused as him before we can start to worry?
