I don’t know who the right candidate is other than the obvious Brad Stevens. Their is one candidate that I believe can absolutely turn this around pretty quickly. It’s John Beilein. Problem is obviously his shelf life. He would almost have to have a wing man to come with him until he retires and have no idea who that would be. But wouldn’t someone fairly young be interested in that? What’s AJ Guyton doing these days?

I’m not on here to get likes lol. I don’t post hoping people will agree with me. A lot of posters on here don’t even watch the games. I watch all the games. A leader plays hard and doesn’t beat on his own chest. I said he has gotten better but at the beginning of the year their were plenty of times he just wasn’t going hard. He has said he is the leader of the team. I didn’t say it. I never said the best player has to be the leader of the team so I don’t know why your implying I did. Dickinson has been eating his lunch all game and now the backup big man had on one possession 2-3 offensive rebounds on TJD on pure effort plays that resulted in a Livers slam that put this game away.

Why do you want to make it personal? Nope I didn’t play high school basketball. Does that disqualify me for having an opinion and being a fan? I was a cheerleader in high school and recently college. I have seen plenty of high school and college basketball. Plus my family are big basketball fans and my older brothers liked to take their little sister and shoot hoops. I completely disagree that “there is no player that plays hard all the time”. He’s putting up 20/10. I’m not saying he can’t play. But those numbers don’t mean he has always played hard. I mean like him or not Dan Dakich isn’t wrong with what he has said about him. He has gotten better as the season has gone on as far as playing hard and his effort. For me, guys that like to pound on their own chests without always playing hard and now wants to talk tough just isn’t my cup of tea. This team needs a leader on the bench and on the court.

Those stats don’t mean jack when your team sucks. I was pointing out he is no leader. If he wants to talk tough and beat on his own chest **** that BS. I have watched the games. I like guys that play HARD all the time. That’s not the case with him although he has been better the 2nd half of the season. This team has no leadership on the court although I think Durham tries the most. All the top teams in the BIG has guys that lead. When he leaves after the season if we are so much worse next year I will eat crow.

TJD is part of the problem. We need guys that will play hard all the time and lead on the court and not pound their own chests.

Hunter is a complete liability on the defensive end. He played enough and was in down the stretch when we were looking for offense. He would have played more if he was on a heater but this game he wasn’t. I fault CAM for many things but not for putting value and giving minutes for ‘D’ and effort. We lost this game not because we couldn’t score. We lost this game because we gave up a 50 piece in the 2nd half and let them shoot a high % all over the court.

100%. He tried to give Leal a run and he showed he wasn’t into the game. I say that and I like Leal a lot. Can’t have Lander out there passing up wide open layups and trying to force passes that aren’t there and shooting 3’s like it’s a moving basket. Again, not defending Archie but he has no choice but to play Rob.

Richie has lost 0 home games. I choose him hands down. Tired of getting beat by awful teams on our home floor. If fans were in the stands man this would be so much worse.

Hunter is SOFT on D. If he is not on one of his hot streaks you can’t play him. I like Leal as much as anyone but if you watched the 2 minutes he played you would get it. Lander is going to be good but nowhere near ready. I’m not defending Archie but I don’t know what other option he has but to play Rob. Rob was recruited and was expected to be something he hasn’t become for whatever reason. It should be called out that Northwestern and MSU are more than bad. Both are down right awful teams. Losing to both of them on our own court is a joke. Tournament team? SMH. Whatever.

I agree with Lander. Hunter doesn’t lack confidence. He isn’t shy about throwing bad shots up. Through my eyes he can’t play. Has no feel for the game regardless if he hits on some here and there. At this stage, at this level you have to know how to play. Lander/Leal/Trey know how to play. Hunter doesn’t. Archie has said in the past minutes are earned...**** that bull****.

This. Hunter has no business being on the floor. He is just plain awful and doesn’t know how to play the game of basketball. How he gets the minutes he does speaks volumes about Archie. A lot of coaches would have removed him after the first foul. A lot more would have ripped him after taking that last shot. Meanwhile, it won’t show up in box scores but Leal was solid in the first half. He made one play matched up against their biggest dude and bodied him up and refused to let him catch the ball and we get the turnover. He gets 0 second half minutes while Hunter plays damn near the entire second half and stinks it up. Minutes have to be earned.
