I place him right behind Izzo at 2nd. I hate typing Painter is right there below them along with Holtman. Greg Gard rounds out the top 5. I can’t put Howard that high yet but probably will be soon.

Their are no guarantees about anything except death and taxes. But guys do have track records. I think he could have us making a deep tournament run pretty quickly. He could also change the culture of the program immediately and who knows who he could bring with him as a lead assistant. I don’t really understand the dislike for Beilein on here. He is not my top pick - I mean what girl doesn’t want Brad Stevens and Will Sheehey on the sidelines but he could/would win big here real quick. His Michigan players loved him and I think he would be here several years and could completely change the culture. We all have our own opinions but I think we could do far worse with some of the other names I have seen on here than Beilein. Just let me keep dreaming about Stevens and Sheehey :)

This is good to know. I was afraid with what he said about the brand of basketball he is looking for that would almost seem to eliminate Beard from consideration? I’m happy that’s not the case.

From a female’s perspective I REALLY like the Brad Stevens/Will Sheehey combo on the bench next season. 100%. Yes please.

It took Pitino less than a year from his hiring date to get back to March Madness while we continue to wait on Archie. Some guys can coach. Some guys can’t.

I have to disagree a little bit with this take. I ran into Crean and his wife several times on campus, Target, Church, North games, and a couple other places. My only interaction was nothing more than hello but the family always seemed nice and approachable to those that I saw them talking too. They loved IU and Bloomington and Crean fought like hell to keep his job. For whatever shortcomings he has as a coach he earned my respect. Archie acts like this is just a pit stop. I don’t sense that he could care less that he’s coaching at IU or any other P5 school.

I might be alone on this and I’m not advocating to keep Miller but assuming we lose TJD and Durham with no other transfers and Brunk comes back with the addition of Stewart we are a slightly better team next year. Slightly better meaning sneaking into the tournament.

I disagree about Trey being too slow. I like Leal a lot. Problem is he can’t guard anyone on the perimeter. He has defended well in the post for his size but can’t defend at all right now outside the paint.

I don’t think it’s very high but obviously hope I’m wrong. 10M is awful large. If more crap like what TJD did happens and we lose by a 40 piece to Purdue maybe.
