I would kind of strongly disagree.

I think in 3-4 years Beilein could have IU knocking on the door of a FF. I don’t know if it’s possible to get Fife away from Izzo to be with Beilein. Or substitute Fife with Lewis. Or Calbert if he has the desire.

That’s part of the reason I’m all in on John Beilein. Not saying he would bring Lewis or another IU guy with him but certainly possible. Does anyone know who was on the Beilein staff when he was at Michigan? Was it Michigan guys on his bench?

This man can flat out coach and could be here for a good 10 years. Plus he knows about IU so who knows who he would bring on as a lead assistant. I think he could have us making a deep tournament run in a couple years and completely change the culture of the program.

We are all disappointed. I want to thank you for what you bring and hope you continue to share as much as you know here or at least PM me with what you are hearing ha lol. You have been consistent that IU was hopeful and offered everything they were being told would get him. I don’t think BS set out to play us for one minute. That’s not who he is. If he did end up getting more money from Boston today and that changed things then I have lost all respect for him though. But that’s just me. IU should never approach him again. If this is indeed over I just want someone that wants to be here the way CTA wants to be here.

It just seems too quiet on the Boston side if anything was going on behind the scenes. If I were in a management position with Bud Light and told them I got a better offer and was going to Coors Light I’m sure Bud Light wouldn’t let me finish the day.
