The only thing I can say about the region is my old man grew up in east chicago in the 50's and 60's. He played at bishop noll and a lot of his buddies were on the great east chicago public teams. We drive through sometimes when we visit relatives in Griffith but certainly not at night. To say it changed would be an understatement.
