    Prepare early for a meltdown!!!

Believe he is referring to Davis. Kegler wasn't a "long time" recruit.

(2016) PF De'Ron Davis to IU

Seems to be some pro-IU talk this morning, haven't heard much indicating MSU lately. Still a long 24+ hours until a decision but I'm becoming slightly more optimistic.    Hoping Kegler's decision today has no effect on DD's. If it does, we're in trouble.

    IU Cross Country

I used to be a decent runner (14:21 5k/29:54 10k), I'm more of a "jogger" now. Maybe I'll start training again and make it up to AK next year, already using my vacation days this year to join you in Maui :D   Cross country scoring basically goes as follows: 1st place= 1 points 2nd place= 2 points 3rd place= 3 points You get the idea.   First 5 runners on a team "score" (usually 7 varsity runners), and low score wins.   An example of a two team meet with scoring:   Team 1: 1st=1 3rd=3 4th=4 5th=5 12th=12 13th=13 but outside of top 5 so doesn't "score" for team 14th= 14 but outside of top 5 so doesn't "score" for team -------- Total: 25 points   Team 2: 2nd=2 6th=6 7th=7 8th=8 9th=9 10th=10 but outside of top 5 so doesn't "score" for team 11th=11 but outside of top 5 so doesn't "score" for team ----------- Total: 32   Hopefully that makes sense. The main thing to keep in mind is even though the 6th or 7th runner on the team doesn't "score" for his/her team doesn't mean they don't matter. In the example above, the 10th and 11th place runner caused Team 1's 5th place runner to score 12 points instead of 10 (he's technically the 10th "scoring" runner).   Side Note- In some races, a school may have less than five runners racing (must have five to constitute a team). If this happens, those runners are "individuals" and their places do not count towards scoring. So if an "individual" gets second in a race, the third place runner scores two points.   Good luck in your training!

(2016) SF Mario Kegler to Miss State

Fwiw, saw that Kegler tweeted at De'Ron to "Follow (him) Back" last night.

(2016) SF Mario Kegler to Miss State

If I recall correctly, Marni is following BB and DD per another thread. Someone who uses twitter could probably do a quick check.

(2016) SF Mario Kegler to Miss State

Kegler met with Marni. Omaha Carter (Kegler's guardian) "was impressed" by her.

    Hoosier hysteria

Didn't know I was sitting next to a BTB mod..   I'm assuming that was his guardian that Kegler pointed the sign out to. They both smiled and seemed to appreciate it so I'll consider it a success.   Somewhat disappointed a chant never came about, would've been cool to hear.

    Hoosier hysteria

Agreed, I know John Michael Mulloy (2019) from Carmel is attending as well. Most of the 2019 Indy Hoosiers are visiting from what I've heard.

(2016) PF De'Ron Davis to IU

Not saying I know anything or that what you said above isn't true, but most of what I've read recently points to Maryland being very strong with Kegler.    Of course, that will change after this weekend

    IU Cross Country

Understandable. Thought I'd chime in as cross country and track are the only IU teams where I could claim to be an "insider". Unfortunately, insider knowledge isn't highly sought after for those two sports :(

    IU Cross Country

Pre-Nats was this past Saturday. The team splits the squad for the Adidas Invite (#1-6 on the team) and Pre-Nats (#7+ on the team) every year.   Team is talented but still searching for a bonafide front runner as JR Matt Schwartzer is redshirting this year.    Next meet is in Evanston for the B1G Championships on 11/1.   GO HOOSIERS!

    2015 #IUBB Offseason Thread

Unless my eyes are deceiving me, it appears Rojo will wear #22 this year (SIAP). Also, Arizona picked up a commitment from 4-Star PF Lauri Markkanen (2016) this morning. Would appear to bode well for IU and Davis.

IU and the Maui Classic 2015

Sounding like the best available option (unless some are available on the secondary market) is purchasing single game tickets (if available for IU games) at the box office or online starting Friday, Nov. 20 at 9 a.m. HST. My father and I will be at the box office hoping to get IU's third round game as we were only able to obtain games 1 and 2 via TicketsWest.    Best of luck guys, hope to see you down there! Would love to have a BTB meet up at some point.

    13 Days...LET'S DIG IN!!!!

Maybe I missed something but is Marqui Hawkins forced to sit this year?   Or just not top 6 on the depth chart?

IU and the Maui Classic 2015

I ended up with a pair of IU booster tickets for the first two rounds. Completed the order via phone with an account executive at TicketsWest last week. Got incredibly lucky as I had contacted the Maui ticketing director months ago and established a connection with him. He was nice enough to set aside a pair for my father and I once IU's allotment sold out. If it wasn't for him, I'd be in the same boat as you.   I'd keep contacting people and try to get in touch with some account managers/executives, all that I talked to were incredibly nice and understanding.   Good luck! Hope to see you in Maui!!
