Trent Sisley is an Outstanding Hoosier and (2025) SG - to UConn Thread
RaceToTheTop replied to Barrel Rick's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Yeah, I've never heard of two players who have played together at some point going to different colleges. I'm surprised Mullins didn't tweet his announcement to Kentucky immediately after Moreno announced. So let me see if I can unpack this crap........you think that Mullins is 'going to Kentucky because of Moreno' but also say 'my gut says he's going anywhere but IU'. So which is it? He's going to Kentucky because Moreno or he's going anywhere but IU because......of hell, I can't figure out the logic you've twisted. -
I also don't see Shedeur as a guy that teams feel is an absolute need. I've seen him mocked as the third quarterback taken next year and IMO that's generous. He's really not all that mobile and the system he's been in under Deion has always been one predicated on quick short throws. At Jackson State where you would expect a sure fire NFL quarterback to absolute destroy the competition, he was a guy that in two years was at 8.1 and 7.6 yards per pass. At a college level low major, that's really nothing special.
-
I guess I don't see it. He's excelled at bringing in talent and attention to a college program but doesn't strike me as a guy whose forte as game management. With the transfer portal he was able to sell players and get a huge upgrade in talent....and they went 1-8 in a Pac 12 that was really down.

(2024) - Valentyna Kadlecova to IU

The timing of a lot of overseas adds don’t match up and that has nothing to do with their ability and more to do with the timetable they as individuals have. -
It’s not the plays I’m having an issue with. I can accept that I’m not the best joystick jockey either. What’s unacceptable to me is the cheese the CPU has where any pass hitting a defensive player is picked off. I shouldn’t have to be a great player and be only throwing passes to clearly open receivers in order to be penalized to the extent that I am.
-
What settings are you on? On varsity I can easily beat the CPU defense. On all-American, interceptions galore. nevermind, I see you are on Heisman. I would be happy simply finding a setting that worked for me to get realistic results. Given the number of sliders, it should exist but I’m not finding it.

In today's world, any high school senior committing is official*. * : until coaching changes, decommits, and other NIL offers are floated around. -

You are in triple digits now, so you reached the magical number. In terms of 'Barrel Rick', he's not really a guy who goes out on a limb and just makes up stuff to fire up the base. He either is coming on with some satirical stuff but rarely goes out on a limb to say anything he actually considers to have knowledge of. I would say that he likely has a little insight. Doesn't mean Mullins is an IU lean, but I don't think he's just making stuff up. -

Rumored bigger offer at Arkansas. Don't know if he actually did. -

You have to at least be triple digits in posts before throwing shade at Barrel Rick. -

Huh? -
Finding a realistic play level in solo play is ridiculous. CPU defensive backs have glue all over their body. CPU quarterbacks all have Tom Brady accuracy. Kick return game for me has resulted in three kick returns for touchdowns and a gaggle. Just finished playing a solo game of IU against Ohio State. I'm on All-American settings with some suggested sliders I saw online. Literally any 50/50 ball that you throw as an offense WILL be intercepted. I had a high time of possession because of the huge number of turnovers I had. I ended up 28 of 51 passing for 293 yards. That part I don't think is out of line -- just under 6 yards per pass I can accept as realistic against the Buckeyes. But of my 23 incompletions: 6 of the passes were off line, thrown away, or not touched by anyone. 10 of the passes were touched by an Ohio State defender -- and they intercepted eight of those ten. 7 were dropped by my receivers. CPU defensive backs are God like receivers while your receivers suck.
-
I played on the default varsity level and was winning each time with IU so I bumped it to all American and have played with the sliders. Getting killed now
-
Was this on the default varsity settings, sliders all at 50? My issue is that once you move it to all-american the difference is vast.
-
At this point, I'm not real in love with the game. I am a solo player -- don't play online. Have the settings on All-American level but regardless of how I put my sliders: 1. The CPU's DBs pick off any pass that is near them. 2. Defensively, it has been pretty impossible to stop the opposing team's passing game. I've read that if you stick to 'coach suggested plays' on defense, it significantly improves your defense so I'll have to try that. The run game feels fine, but the passing game just seems broken. Kick returns.....almost never go anywhere but I have actually returned two kicks for TDs as IU nine games into the season (one for 106 yards).

And yet Halliburton and Tatum sit.

As an old guy, I'd prefer just a scrimmage without the other skills competition plus light show, etc. Read that the cost last year was around $250K for HH. -
(2025) QB - Julian Lewis to Colorado (for now)

Lewis also posted one of his offer to Colorado. Of interest: basically the same number of likes on his IU tweet (2.1K) and USC tweet (2.2K). Colorado tweet, though.....4.8K likes. -

FWIW, I think last year in Big Ten play there was much less of that practice (of course, lack of guard talent had a lot to do with that). In the game against Michigan State, Galloway exited 7 minutes in and he still played just 8 players -- and Walker only played 5 minutes. So I think there was improvement on nixing those hockey line changes. Guard play and overall depth wasn''t there to do it anyway. -
Inspired by @Hovadipo Atom Balm post. Post your million dollar ideas here. Mine: since wearing a thong can't be comfortable, I propose underwear that is a thong up top (for a women who wants to appear to wear a thong) but tapers down to a brief underneath the pant line. Selling point is the name -- a combination thong/brief -- I call it The Thief.
