I think we will be running some three guard sets. I really like De'ron Davis, but the dude fouls a ton. I can't see him averaging more than 25 minutes/game at a max. I could see 75 minutes/game split between Morgan, Hartmann, Smith, Moore, and McSwain.....that would leave 100 minutes/game for guards.

At St. Francis, he played the role of offense off the bench and was pretty successful at it. Averaged 9.2 ppg despite only playing 14.4 mpg. Shot 42% from the field but 43% from three (28 of 65 in 22 games). Left St. Francis on Jan. 26.....don't know the circumstances surrounding him leaving. -

Haven't seen it posted here, so forgive me. If someone else did. Italian player David's Moretti has set four visits up. Would be eligible this year. 6 3 combo guard. Other schools were Texas Tech and Utah (I don't recall the fourth). Moretti is ranked by NBA draft.net as the 13th best international player born in 1998. -

So Todd Leary would be off the hook because they happened later? -
Who's declaring/transferring around NCAA 2017?

So the real question is how well Swanigan will 'fitted' into the NBA. I do assume the fabricated stuff he was talking about at IU was the fabric on the banners. -

With Gelon gone, Tim Priller is considering transferring from the seat nine seats from the front of the bench to eight seats from the front. -

McRoberts being in the rotation last year was more of a problem with how Crean developed players than McRoberts actual production. Zac shouldn't be getting minutes over guys who have more talent and are developing. -

Yeah, he's a guy that if he had four years at IU I think could have really developed. At worst, he's a heck of an athlete who will go in and grab rebounds and look to get some putbacks. -

I guess I don't get the logic that past success doesn't bare any correlation to future success. I'll take past success over not having it. -

I love De'ron Davis, but he averaged 7 fouls per 40 minutes played last year....given foul problems and rest that big players need, I can't see him averaging North of 24 minutes per game next year. -

I'm not sure I get the wording 'going through the draft process'. He's not getting drafted....no one is thinking that in the slightest. It seems to me that was set on leaving, he would more likely say 'exploring options' as opposed to 'going through the draft process'. -

What's cool is that if you are Josh Newkirk, you joined back in 2013 knowing you would eventually transfer to IU. -

Your statements about Bryant intimated that he didn't overcome obstacles and that he hadn't learned anything. He was playing decent basketball at the end of the season. Just because the team was not doesn't disguise that. -

Last I looked, basketball wasn't a one player game. During the last 14 games when things really went south (IU went from being 14-6 to 18-16), Bryant's numbers went up. -

A lot of people seem to be conveniently removing Bryant's freshman year when IU DID win.....Big Ten title, 27-8 record. And talent wise that team didn't match up with the IU teams of Oladipo's sophomore and junior years which had two lottery picks. did Bryant whine about calls? Sure. To my knowledge it never cost the team.....I don't remember a single tech he had and any defensive issues he had weren't in getting back. I don't recall him saying anything negative in the press. I'll take an immature attitude that cares about winning over a complacent one any day. -

If he was looking for options out of BTown, it would also make sense for him to just say so as well. -

I wouldn't understand the logic in RoJo leaving. He wouldn't even be a D-league starter at this point....certainly not any kind of featured player. His route through the D League to the NBA would be INCREDIBLY rough and long -- not to mention the fact that it in all liklihood wouldn't happen. If he is thinking there is NBA in his future (which, while I love him, I don't), the quickest route is to put up a good year where he is the featured scorer at IU. If he is looking overseas, that might be a different answer....but even then, getting a guaranteed money overseas is certainly easier to get coming off a better year than he had last year. -

I would think that JBJ leaving would mean a bigger role for RoJo. From what I see, he should be our #1 offensive option next year. IMO, that would be a pretty big reason for him to stay as it would give him an opportunity to showcase his talent. -

He is a very untalented player. If he doesn't have fundamentals to begin with and he's a senior, I"m not sure what teaching them would do. Put those minutes elsewhere. -

I'm not sure what minutes you are talking about last year that were legitimate, non-mop up minutes. The Purdue minutes were him just fouling and getting Purdue not guarding him on defense. -
Not sure why there is a need to dance on Tom Crean's grave after his coaching gig died here. Like it or not, he is going to coach again and he will have some pretty good teams. It's not like he pulled a total jerk move and wished death upon those who were there when he was fired.

You'll have to point to where I said that. But you are asking how he was going to guard players that he isn't going to be asked to guard in the NBA. My point was that an NBA coach that is putting Thomas Bryant to guard a quick, athletic small forward shouldn't have a job. Seems silly. -

Any NBA exec that is concerned about Bryant guarding guys like Troy Williams should go ahead and fire their coach right now.
