For those who are saying that he is just saying things to get viewers.....he basically was telling viewers at ESPN that the IU/MSU game wasn't going to be worth watching. Could be why hid do-announcer was confused.

Read 'Old Friend's' quote. It said that Dakich's show was the '#1 rated sports talk show in the country'.

I believe he's been shown to have some connections in the past, yes?

Went to the Red Cedars board for Michigan State and read their game thread. Great read. Half think the refs were on the take (LOL) but pretty much to a man they thought IU deserved to win and played much harder.

The claim was that his show was the '#1 rated local sports show'. While the award he won is nice, it says nothing of the sort. It was an award for a midday, mid-market show.

Oh, he has several coaches on every week? Guy must be John Wooden.

"Rated" the number 1 local sports talk show in the country by who? And you are talking about # of listeners, then at best you could be talking about midday shows.....which isn't where the big audiences are, which are drive time shows. But if ratings = knowledge, then Skip Bayless is knowledgeable. And if the measure of how well is by number of listeners....then he's behind anybody with a national show. Now, what is my particular problem with him? Even when he's not on his show, he's 'on his show'. I'm fine not listening to his radio show, but he anytime I watch IU on ESPN, he isn't there to call the game. He comes in with an agenda. Tell me WHAT exactly he was doing today in the Kentucky/Tennessee game today when he spouts an opinion completely out of left field about Indiana. You could hear his co-host kind of taken aback. And the fact is the guy was a second rate coach who spent 11 years at Bowling Green, never made it to the dance nor won an NIT game. Yet he wants to constantly criticize coaches and tell everyone what 'he would have done'.

I can't tell.....it didn't sound like 'coach', maybe 'approach' but wouldn't swear by it. But what in the hell did his comment have to do with anything with the Florida/Kentucky game? Completely out of left field, unprompted, and just meant to shake trees.
