Honestly, that isn't new, particularly with Ledlum. Ledlum is from Brooklyn and I think he was one of the first players Pitino contacted. That said, Ledlum set up a visit with IU well after Pitino contacted him. IMO living so close to St. John's he already has an impression of the school/program. I think if he is impressed during his visit to Indiana that he would have IU over St. John's.

The jibes with what I heard, which was between $1 and infinity. :) -
Yeah, but not sure the guys who take the tests for players suffer from their concussions. :)

Ummmm.....so if Bates and Kopp were in, the other team lost two defenders? Because if we played three on three offense and TJD and JHS were two of the three, that's a genius idea. -
Unless he earned his degree in three years, I believe, then he qualifies as a grad transfer.

Andre Curbelo in the portal again.

So they already have their designated misser. -
Malik was shooting threes as early as our exhibition games. If he is able to even knock threes down at a 30-33 percent rate as a low volume shooter, that helps spread the floor.

Yeah, with good coaching he could be a monster! So don't worry about Michigan. -
Don’t make Old Fart turn this car around! Stop fighting in the backseat!

Jake Heidbreder, Air Force (played high school ball at Floyd Central).

Ball State makes sense for him. Seems like they just had a big man transfer. If he's good there, we can steal him in a couple of years. :)

God, I miss NCAA 2K basketball. Still am playing NCAA 2K13/14 football and am anxiously awaiting it's reboot next year. Wish they would reboot basketball.

Guy Fauntleroy of Austin Peay in the portal. Not really a player, but with a name like that I assume he plays basketball while wearing a monocle and a top hat.
-
IMO, it sounds like St. John's and Indiana are probably the leaders. He's from Brooklyn and had a visit with St. John's scheduled. The fact that he is visiting Indiana is huge, IMO.

I mean, cool. Indiana was a 1 seed under Crean. Guarantee you that kids would rather hear him talk about Wade than them being some fantasy one player away.

That's why I don't get the so called rumors of Love's 'attitude' problems. When I saw North Carolina play this past year, Love did take a lot of shots....mainly because there was no movement on offense and half the time it didn't even look like there were any play calls. I keep going back to how different of a player Pete Nance looked when he left Northwestern and went to North Carolina.

It's incredible how often these rumors make their rounds any time a team struggles. Ask Romeo Langford. Let's just say I would consider most them urban myths.

https://twitter.com/MikeWatersSYR/status/1640050320855146497?s=20 Strange list that Girard has on teams he has at home or zoom visits with....Florida, LSU, Butler, and Stanford. All of those places had losing records this past season and probably aren't likely to make any national noise next year. Probably looking to continue to get shots.

They haven't. Musselman has been to two elite eights. Oats hasn't been past the sweet sixteen. In fact, Oats is just 6-6 in the tourney.
-
The line on Ware: ultra-talented big. Ready to explode next season. Responds to “I’ll get you to the NBA” well and his favorite athlete of all time is a tie between Scott May and Craig Stadler. I like our chances.

So will Jordan Geronimo's highlight tape be from last year's Wyoming game? -
In terms of Love, I assume the 'attitude' issues were about the number of shots he took? I know of no off court issues. And in terms of the number of shots a guy takes, coaches can control that. If a guy is killing you with his shot bulk, that's a coaching issue. You can't shoot shots you aren't on the floor to make.

Tell him I said 'hey'.

"We've got to draw the line," UNC junior guard Caleb Love said. "We can’t keep feeling sorry for ourselves. We've got to draw the line on what we want to do as far as finishing the season. There is literally no choice for guys to do but to fight and every time we step out on the floor we've got to fight.” IMO, the issues at North Carolina weren't so much a player thing...they were a coaching issue. It might be why they were capable of overcoming Hubert Davis in a span of a few games in the tournament but always struggled in a full regular season slate. And the above quote I certainly couldn't have ever seen coming from DeVonte Green.
