Cream typically had like a hundred offers out there. I think all it did was to see a player play a good game in front of him in order to get an offer. I believe that’s how Gelon got his.
-
I saw him play three or four times in high school. The jump he made from his sophomore to junior year was huge. He really worked to get his jump shot where it was.

Stephanie Soares. But she had played in 13 games out of Iowa State's games and they had no exempt games. So she was at 13 of 28 games, or 46%. Think it was a longshot that she would get the waiver because she was well above the exemption. From what a poster had posted on here, Xavier would be at 11 of 31 games but just 8 of 28 of those that count, so he's at 29%.

Get this: CBS Chicago did not even start coverage until the minute of tip off. Between 9 and 9:20 PM eastern, they showed.....Entertainment Tonight.

Read a stat that made me rethink Kaedan Shedrick (I've posted that I wasn't that big of a fan). Opponents shooting percentage at the rim with Shedrick on the court for Virginia: 48.3%. Opponents shooting percentage at the rim with Shedrick off the court: 57%. That's a huge difference.

Travis Branham is a good predictor, but that doesn't mean Battle to Ohio State is a certainty. Portal predictions are harder to make than high school recruit predictions because things move so fast.
-
Believe it’s between 25 and 30%

@UspshoosierI know you followed Stetson some…..why didn’t this guy shoot more? 30 mpg, shooting 47% from three but only averaged under 9 points per game. Shot rate was very Kopp like.
-
IMO….he’s one guy that Painter misused. Athletic guard on teams in need of it. Give him no rope as soon as he missed shots an killed his confidence.

Brandon Newman is in the portal.

Sounds like he was down to Nebraska and West Virginia. Nebraska can't afford many second place finishes on recruits.

How can I PANIC if I don't know when the market is going to crash? ;)

Don't know if it's been mentioned earlier: Tylor Perry, North Texas , 5'11" guard. 17.3 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.1 apg. 44/41/87 shooter. If you've seen North Texas play, averaging 17 ppg is like averaging 20+ other places because of how slow their pace is. Would not be surprised to see him follow his coach to Texas Tech.

I don't think Painter typically uses all of his allotted scholarships.

This was 247's summary of him coming out of high school....definitely sounds like a Painter type of player. That said, Purdue's NIL stinks. An extremely versatile prospect with an old school type of pace and game, Harrison Ingram's professional projection is based upon his high IQ. He is a winner and the ultimate competitor who is one of the most intelligent prospects in the country both on and off the court. He has a bright future in every aspect of life. He is a point forward who uses savvy, skill, and intelligence to dominate games. Ingram can play on or off the ball. He plays at his own pace and is one of the better passers in the class. He is extremely deadly making plays with his back to the basket where he can score or locate shooters from any area on the floor. Despite not being a fantastic athlete, Ingram is productive on the glass and competes on the defensive end. His elite IQ and skill make him one of the best prospects in the class and is someone who will exceed his physical tools as a player and producer.

It's been there the last two days. Has to do with a lawsuit he is the defendant in for supposedly manipulating the value of dogecoin." " this is just meant to inform, not trying to venture into politics. To get back on track and discussion started, Maximus Nelson of Valparaiso is in the portal. He's not a good player but his name would be a great WWE name.

If there is one coach that will give freedom for Love to do whatever he wants to do, it's Howard. He certainly won't encumber him with well drawn up plays.
-
Big one entering, at least from an upside standpoint. Harrison Ingram, Stanford. 6'7" small forward, just completed his sophomore year. 19th rated recruit in the 2021 class. Averaged 10.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists last season.

@Chris007 is an incredibly knowledgeable poster. Prior to the NCAA tournament in the college bball thread, we were discussing how many 'true contenders' there were for the NCAA title this year and I believe he said something along the lines of 'what are there this year? Maybe five or six?'. And then we ended up with a tournament that saw a 4, 4, 5, and 9 seed in the final four. The best opinions is and always will be that....opinions. So I don't think I would ever go so far as to call an opinion a 'truth'. It's funny that the older I get the more I know that I don't know. I.e........Shedrick isn't a player I'm all that into. But one thing I do know: my opinion on him doesn't mean anything. Fun to talk about it on a message board and like spirited debate, but even if I'm correct that he's not that good of a player or fit currently that doesn't mean anything in terms of what happens in the future.

Re: "as it is".......there is zero chance that the team next season consists of the current roster as it is.

**** YOUR COCKTAILS....THIS TEAM NEEDS BEERS!!!

I am getting the sense that one gap the staff is looking at is the dreaded e word. Sparks and the recruitment of DeLoach would seem to say that. From the little we know it does seem like they are looking for team centered guys...from what Chris said about their thoughts on Love it doesn't seem like they want a talented but self centered player around.
-
I haven't followed the back and forth between the two of them -- trying to turn over a new leaf and avoid those things. But at the same time, I do think that the as a one-off that Wayne's comments on DeLoach could have been read as anything but looking for the negative. The 'gets pushed around in his own league' line....not sure where he is coming up with that only he's just looking at his weight and nothing else. It certainly isn't being said by the people who voted for the all-conference team nor is it being said by the people who watched him play a lot. Anyway, I have nothing but love for Wayne and know he was contributing here way before I had even signed up. Guy coached Ohio State to the PC Stellar league I ran here a couple of years ago.
