(C) Kel 'el Ware - COMMITTED TO INDIANA
RaceToTheTop replied to Chris007's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I don't typically go all in on players....but Ware is one I really, really want. In terms of Dana Altman 'calling Ware out publicly'.....I think Altman is starting to come to the end of his time coaching, at least in Oregon. His 'just fire me already' post game conference after only 3,000 fans showed up for their NIT game against Wisconsin says to me he's not happy at Oregon and I think might be showing in how he is handling his players. -
PLEASE…..I am tired of refreshing

Wish there was news to talk about instead of having to go back to Sampson…

If Bates would average 16 points at Georgetown? I don’t know, probably not. But he certainly would have gotten a lot of shots there. But averaging 16 points at a team as bad as Gtown really isn’t that impressive to me, especially when he was a low efficiency player. you can look at on3’s ratings. They agree with you that reeves’ ratings is too high by 247. Ledlum is 38, so about the same spot. Bates is 72..,.Spears is 78.
-
For a team that won one conference game? also think you are putting a lot of stock into calling the ratings a joke based on Bates’ rating.
-
As much as Bates struggled shooting the ball, he shot 37% from three. Spears shot 30%. Spears was also near the national leaders in turnovers.

Why?

He also said that his best bet on Simon Lukosis from Butler was Indiana and that Purdue was one of the players for L. J. Cryer. He’s a guy with 188 followers and a google search bar IMO.

1. Ware is a quiet kid, comes off as aloof 2. He became close to an Arkansas assistant who left to become an assistant at Oregon. After he committed, the coach got the head job at Nebraska Omaha. Ware kept his commitment to Oregon. 3. Ware did not live up to expectations at Oregon. Altman was publicly critical. 4. Next coach will need to have a better relationship with Ware. 5. Suggests that Arkansas could be a good fit because it’s close to home but that PT might be competitive as their best big man announced he was coming back and they have a 5 star big man coming in. Seemed a strange article because it suggested it would be good for him to go to Arkansas but printed a lot of hatchet job quotes from people saying he disappointed as a freshman.

FYI, on the article on Ware it mentions that there wasn’t much PT available for next year. They did have a 13 mpg kid enter the portal today 6’10” Kid — but even with an opening in some minutes, I think if Arkansas was a choice he wanted he already would have transferred there. He is from Arkansas and when the assistant he liked left, he turned to Oregon. So I think he’s heard Musselman’s pitch already and decided on not staying to play near home. Just my two cents. in terms of him being a quiet kid and Altman calling him out publicly….that IMO is a coaching issue and not a player issue. You always stay in house.

It says undeciddd, but if you click it has an IU crystal ball

Only one prediction, though, and he has not been a real accurate predictor. Duke writer.

Illinois just locked the big ten up. South Dakota’s Keaton Kutcher is bringing his 2.5 ppg to Champaign (as a walk on).

Anyone coming to a message board and getting upset because someone is sharing information…..not sure what they are doing inside the portal message board thread. and we are talking about nuclear secrets being shared.
-
man, know posters are already writing ware off? Wait and see.

Fardaws Aimaq commits to California. Have no idea why.

Think those were all people speculating about the ‘soon’.
-
Probably no coincidence that Dickinson and Jett Howard leaves and Love signs to take their shots
-
If he takes it, then he hasn’t committed yet.

And: “Loyer and Smith going to lead us to the promised land” but also: “who could we replace them with in the portal?”

Purdue’s NIL sucks, so I would say he’s grasping at straws.

If Kopp’s dating game is like his bball game, no worries about him taking a shot at your wife.

We live in a day and age where player you can’t afford to worry about that or other teams will pass you bye. Backups will need to buy in or they will be gone.
