Marcus Dumask (Southern Illinois) committed to Illinois. Decent pick up. First team All-MVC last year. Averaged 16.7 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.8 apg. 6'6" small forward. On3 lists him as the 77th best portal player. 247 hasn't rated him yet (they seem to miss some of the portal guys) but describe him as a very skilled offensive player but limited athlete. Good passer and cutter. Said he was a lot like Sam Griesel but better three point shooter (35% from three last year for Dumask).

Let's make that more. -
Chris Ledlum - Harvard Transfer to Tennessee -- Wait, Make That St. John's

I thought On3 didn’t do expert picks…thought they used a database AI to do predictions. -
This is what I was referring to about Altman. Sounds like 2 straight NIT seasons are wearing on him. This is the same guy who called the fans at Oregon out after only 3,000 showed up for their NIT game at Wisconsin.....might have wanted to consider that they were responding to the product he put on the floor....and I wouldn't assume Knecht is going to end up at Oregon as well. (BTW, the words below -- 'fire me if I'm the problem' -- are coming from someone who has a $19 million buyout if he gets fired)

FWIW, DeLoach IMO is most likely headed to Florida State or San Diego St. In discussing his five finalists those two IMO stood out — his brother plays football at Florida State and San Diego State seemed to be recruiting him pretty hard as they need bigs next year.

Don’t disagree, but he’s not an NBA caliber player so he’ll be back at Northwestern. That was my point, wasn’t slighting him.
-
In other words, he’s coming back to Northwestern.

Ellis can be pretty good, but he’s not an NBA player.

We get five time outs to sub Galloway in.

Maybe -- but right now what we've seen is Dalton Knecht shoot against against mainly Big Sky competition and Ellis shoot against mainly ACC competition. It's a big difference. And against the best three teams Knecht played against last year, he was playing quite a bit against their bench players -- lost to Houston by 47, Baylor by 33, and New Mexico by 24. Over two seasons, Knecht shot 46/37. Ellis shot 41/33. Is the difference in competition enough to account for that? I don't know....might not be....but it's certainly closer than you think.

They do have an issue with where he would fit, though, given that Trevon Brazille announced he was coming back last Thursday and they already have and they are bringing in a top 20 player in Baye Fall whose game seems pretty similar to Ware's. One of the Mitchell brothers entered the portal but the other has not. Jalen Graham also announced he's coming back, so that another player at the 4. Three days ago the Best of Arkansas stated that Arkansas basketball had now officially contacted 83 players in the portal. I know they hosted a couple of wings over the weekend including Temple's Khalif Battle, so it wouldn't surprise me if Black goes if they try to fill that spot with Battle. Just my opinion, nothing else, but I could certainly see Ware being in a numbers issue at Arkansas. Even with Mack committing I think their more immediate issue is with wings.

The anonymity of the internet gives one guts, I guess.

It does seem to me like he's scouring the twitterverse and then throwing out other people's theories they tweeted as his 'sources'. We've already seen one guy tweet that Ware, Ledlum, and DeLoach were all going to commit to IU and then afterwards the Transfer Portal account tweets them out separately. That said: Zagoria is a solid source and said the Ware decision would come Tuesday. Ware cancelled his visit to Indiana and to our knowledge only visited IU. The only other possibility I could see would be Arkansas since it's near home and he was recruited by them earlier, but I think if he were in love with Arkansas he would have committed there in the first place. Ledlum? That one seems to be pretty tight lipped. I do expect it comes down to Indiana and St. John's. DeLoach has a visit scheduled this weekend and had an at home visit from Florida State Thursday. He had indicated previously that he probably would not decide until late April to early May. His comments haven't really indicated any preference -- San Diego State has playing time available, Indiana is the basketball 'Mecca', his brother goes to Florida State....his decision likely is going to be based more on the landscape toward the end of April.

It’s me, Margaret. -
From the same Twitter account. It’s not a huge one — 8300 followers — but still.

On the reverse side, it does get low to mid majors some talented players that would not likely have left a major to go there. And last season’s tournament showed that it actually created more parity not less. The losers still seem to be the incoming freshman though.
-
To my line of thinking, if there was anything to Ward, Ledlum AND DeLoach all coming to IU that might mean Reneau would be transferring. Zero knowledge of anything like that and I don’t see all three coming but the truth is I like all four of those players including Reneau. Anyway, it will all get sorted out.

He’s going to be good. Didn’t really fit Penn State’s system that well. Am interested to see if he goes to Notre Dame if Shrewsbury’s system last year was run to match his personnel.
-
Hasn’t been much talk about him since his visit but he would be a really good get. Hard nosed, motor running kid.

Just wait until he checks back later today on the message board to see you didn’t take his advice to stay off of message boards. -
