That’s higher than I’ve seen him. NBA draft room projects undrafted. NBA draft net has him projected 60th. Talkathon puts him 45th. -
Chris Ledlum - Harvard Transfer to Tennessee -- Wait, Make That St. John's

PM me in the AM or PM. I have a coin I flip that is right close to 50% of the time. Just say the word and I'll flip. -
I have no idea why Joey Hauser "jumped" in that video. He's blocked 22 shots in four years....and I'm sure none were from guys over six foot.

Chris Ledlum - Harvard Transfer to Tennessee -- Wait, Make That St. John's
RaceToTheTop replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Ledlum visiting St. John's will be interesting....because right now Pitino has basically driven everyone out looking to male an immediate impact by getting portal guys but he hasn't landed a single player. Both guards he had at Iona visited -- his point guard at Iona -- Walter Clayton Jr -- then chose Florida over St. John's. Danniss Jones didn't commit when he visited. EVERY SINGLE ONE of Iona's players entered the portal and so far none have joined Pitino at St. John's. Right now Pitino only has retained three of St. John's former players -- Joel Soriano and two guys that totaled 43 minutes last year. All three incoming freshman have decommited. I do not think this is going to be the turnaround Pitino envisioned......Slick Rick was able to offer money to guys under the table before, now everyone can do it on top of the table and St. John's doesn't have the kind of money of facilities that are likely to draw the players he wants. Ledlum calls Brooklyn home and he could go to St. John's and score quite a bit because at this point I don't know who else is going to score for them....but that first Pitino St. John's team right now has the potential to be really, really bad. -
The problem I see is that if Edey is back, teams aren't going to be backing off of their shooters like they did last year. Smith I can see being less effected than Loyer because I think Smith has more ability. But if your two returning scorers are Loyer and Smith I don't think that spells success.

Ah, so if it's posted on a message board it's factual but if it's on twitter it's not. -

At this point, I have no idea why you go on message boards. You certainly don't like listening to people share information. -

Michigan State should be really good. Purdue top 25 without Edey? Don't see it. Maryland with Dickinson and Young returning could be borderline top 10. What I will say about Northwestern is that it seems when they have built up some momentum in the past and start the year with expectations, they fall on their face. Lunardi having Florida Atlantic as a 2 seed is laughable -- regardless of the run they had in the tournament, their margin for error in terms of loss numbers during the season will be incredibly small. And I would expect that Memphis will be the team to beat in the newly formed American conference next year, not FAU.
-
Lunardi is silly. Way too early to even do way too early bracketology.

Not an IU fit now, but Jesse Edwards of Syracuse in the portal. 6'11" center. 14.5 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 2.7 blocks per game. Carlos Stewart, 6'1" guard, Santa Clara. Good shooter. 15.2 ppg, 2.4 reb, 2.3 assists. Shot 40% from three on 144 attempts. 83% free throw shooter.
-
IMO, while getting a shooter is very important for IU, it’s really domino #3 because there are a lot of shooters in the portal….definitely more so than stretch 4’s, posts, guys who can score at multiple levels. 58 of 247’s top 100 rated players in the portal are guards. For comparison, only 12 were centers.
-
IMO, it depends on who you are coaching against. A good coach will use halftime to counter what worked against them in the first half.
-
Not sure why if you were XJ you wouldn't be a fan of that lineup.
-
You can not stress enough what having a big who shoots even 30% can do for your team offensively if they are capable of getting to the rim as well. Ledlum and Ware both can. Race Thompson couldn’t. Even if Race shot 30% from deep, no one was worried about him cutting to the hoop. He was a post up or pop guy only.

Illinois had a good day. Picked up Utah Valley’s Justin Harmon to go along with Si Illinois’s Dumask earlier today.

But they had a good day of transfers in today, Dumask from Southern Illinois and Justin Harmon from Utah Valley. I’d call it a net gain from Melendez and Epps transferring out. Still need to fill Mayers spot though. -

Chris Ledlum..... -
Certainly played well enough that someone will look to bring him in and start him. In Texas' rotation, averaged 4.6 ppg in 11 mpg. Shot 41/33/79. The 41% number is higher than it looks because over half of his shots were threes. Shot 51% inside the arc.
-
LOL.

Marcus Dumask (Southern Illinois) committed to Illinois. Decent pick up. First team All-MVC last year. Averaged 16.7 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.8 apg. 6'6" small forward. On3 lists him as the 77th best portal player. 247 hasn't rated him yet (they seem to miss some of the portal guys) but describe him as a very skilled offensive player but limited athlete. Good passer and cutter. Said he was a lot like Sam Griesel but better three point shooter (35% from three last year for Dumask).
